Good morning,I am responding to a complaint (#[redacted]) that was made against The UPS Store #3327 by [redacted].Let me start off by saying that first, [redacted] is not a customer of The UPS Store, nor has she ever been. [redacted]’s significant other [redacted] purchased a painting...

from [redacted] came into The UPS Store and had the store pack and ship (included coverage for $750 against loss and damage) the painting to [redacted] is not, nor has ever been a customer of The UPS Store. The painting was damaged in transit and The UPS Store filed a claim. The claim was based on the repair estimate that [redacted] provided to The UPS Store, which exceeded the purchase price of the painting. When the claim reimbursement exceeds the value of the item it is considered a total loss, in which UPS pays out the claim and retains the item(s) that are damaged (see attached UPS terms and conditions). The manager of The UPS Store (all of the stores are independently owned and operated and have nothing to do with UPS nor its claims division) worked with [redacted] in that they wanted to keep the painting. [redacted] not only wanted to keep the painting but she wanted the full value of her estimate, which exceeded the purchase price, in addition to the painting. This is otherwise known as insurance fraud and as an attorney she should know better. The manager of The UPS Store was able to work with UPS and allow [redacted] to keep the painting and get a claim paid by UPS in the amount of $787.19. The $787.19 was sent to [redacted] on September 28, 2015 since they were the shipper of record and the customer of The UPS Store. [redacted] has threatened The UPS Store with lawsuits, when in fact she has never been a customer and is not the shipper of record (which means we have no contract with her) and she continues to slander The UPS Store, like this frivolous complain with the Revdex.com, when all we did was try to help her.If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.Regards,[redacted]Business Development ManagerThe UPS Store Regional Office[redacted]
