Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I reject the response from the dealer and firmly believe they are responsible for the air intake box being broken (as stated prior, I am the only one that has replaced the air filter and it was not broken prior to being dropped at this dealer), I am even more annoyed at the fact that I was originally told by the service rep that the steering wheel being off center had nothing to do with the transmission warranty work and that I could pay $for a wheel alignment, and now I am being told that it in fact is a result of the transmission work that was performedAside from the fact that I reside a long distance from this dealer which makes it very inconvenient to shuttle the vehicle there for repairs, I do not wish for them perform any further maintenance or repairs to any of my Toyota vehicles for any reasonYou can close this complaint and I no longer wish anything from this dealer Regards, [redacted] ***

Response taken by phone: The customer bought a truck in May and gave signed approval for us to run his credit for the purchase Approximately weeks later he decided he did not like the truck and discussed trading to a different vehicleHe gave verbal consent to check the
financing options His sales person ran the numbers and the credit check at that point He apologize for the confusion but the customer would have to check with the credit bureaus to see if this can be removed

This problem was resolvedWe refunded the customer for what he paid for the brakes and also for the inspectionThe customer left happyYou can now close this open case.Thank you!Tammy W***

Aside from the fact that I reside a long distance from this dealer which makes it very inconvenient to shuttle the vehicle there for repairs, I do not wish for them perform any further maintenance or repairs to any of my Toyota vehicles for any reason. You can close this complaint and I no longer wish anything from this dealer.

The service technicians at Toyota of Batavia will usually check over vehicles and road test prior to performing repairs. I personally road tested the customer vehicle the week prior in order to verify a torque converter shudder. It took at least 12 miles of driving before I was able to duplicate the...

customer concern. I returned to the dealer as soon as the condition was verified. Total miles driven was 18 miles.  I did notice the brakes were pulsating when applied during road test but I don't remember if the steering wheel was off center. The technician that replaced the torque converter noted that there was a stain on the right front seat, a tab was broken off the engine air box and the steering wheel was off center prior to repair. It was written on the back of the repair order (see attached). The vehicle has not been to Toyota of Batavia since 10/13/2015 at 17830 miles, so my guess would be that whoever has been performing maintenance on the vehicle was the one that damaged the engine air box. As far as the wheel alignment is concerned, the advisor states that the customer did confirm that the steering wheel was a little off prior to the repair but now much worse. It is possible that the condition could have been made worse with the removal of the transmission since the cradle needs to be dropped. Toyota of Batavia would be willing to perform the wheel alignment at no charge to the customer but is not willing to assist with the engine air box.
