Revdex.com spoke with Jim at the business today and he stated the following:She has an inground pool that was not properly built Whoever installed the pool did not install it properlyThe plastic faceplate on the steps where the liner meets the steps was not installed correctly Under that faceplate there are about screws in it The liner has to be installed between the faceplate and the actual steps and then screwed in and the excess liner is then cut away Their's was not done properly The liner needs to be stretched either with an adequate amount of pressure on it or at least inches of water in the pool because if you don't when the water gets in the pool it will stretch the liner and the liner will rip where the screws are They are losing water because of this improper initial installation not done by us They called me to fix it, and I knew before looking at the pool that that was what the problem was I told her husband realistically to change the liner because as soon as the screws are removed the liner will fall and not match up to the faceplateI advised it would cost $2,to replace He did not want to spend that I advised we could put a patch on both sides of the liner in front of the steps about feet long I advised it is like putting a band-aid on a gun shot wound and told him it might work and it might not I told him again that he should change the liner.I spent hours doing it and changed the faceplate and used a new one which cost $just for the faceplate and used new screws and put a patch behind the liner that you could not see As soon as I took the screws out, the liner fell and no longer met up the faceplate just as I knew it would I put the patch on and put the faceplate on and I called Scott and told him it was done He told me to fill it I told him to wait to make sure that it doesn't leak and to just put inches of water in it and if it doesn't hold we may have to do more She then called upset because she didn't like the way it looked because the patch didn't match the liner They still owe me $and have not paid I advised her as well that if she wants it fixed right the liner needs to be changed At this point I am still expecting payment in full The vinyl glue that I purchased was left there in case additional patching had to be done.Vinyl glue - $hours labor $385.00Faceplate was $178.99In the last conversation with ***, I told her that if it didn't work and she wanted to change the liner, that I would have credited her the hours of labor As far as I know the pool is holding water and they are swimming in it and have not paid me

Revdex.com spoke with Jim at the business today and he stated the following:She has an inground pool that was not properly built.  Whoever installed the pool did not install it properly. The plastic faceplate on the steps where the liner meets the steps was not installed correctly.  Under that...

faceplate there are about 80 screws in it.  The liner has to be installed between the faceplate and the actual steps and then screwed in and the excess liner is then cut away.  Their's was not done properly.  The liner needs to be stretched either with an adequate amount of pressure on it or at least 8 inches of water in the pool because if you don't when the water gets in the pool it will stretch the liner and the liner will rip where the screws are.  They are losing water because of this improper initial installation not done by us.  They called me to fix it, and I knew before looking at the pool that that was what the problem was.  I told her husband realistically to change the liner because as soon as the screws are removed the liner will fall and not match up to the faceplate. I advised it would cost $2,900.00 to replace.  He did not want to spend that.  I advised we could put a patch on both sides of the liner in front of the steps about 8 feet long.  I advised it is like putting a band-aid on a gun shot wound and told him it might work and it might not.  I told him again that he should change the liner.I spent 3 hours doing it and changed the faceplate and used a new one which cost $178.99 just for the faceplate and used new screws and put a patch behind the liner that you could not see.  As soon as I took the screws out, the liner fell and no longer met up the faceplate just as I knew it would.  I put the patch on and put the faceplate on and I called Scott and told him it was done.  He told me to fill it.  I told him to wait to make sure that it doesn't leak and to just put 6 inches of water in it and if it doesn't hold we may have to do more.  She then called upset because she didn't like the way it looked because the patch didn't match the liner.  They still owe me $515.72 and have not paid.  I advised her as well that if she wants it fixed right the liner needs to be changed.  At this point I am still expecting payment in full.  The vinyl glue that I purchased was left there in case additional patching had to be done.Vinyl glue - $17.993 hours labor $385.00Faceplate was $178.99In the last conversation with [redacted], I told her that if it didn't work and she wanted to change the liner, that I would have credited her the 3 hours of labor.  As far as I know the pool is holding water and they are swimming in it and have not paid me.
