*** claimed to have payed me in full up frontI have the invoice that states difrentlyShe did pay for an extra coat, witch I advise all customers to do when dealing with a soft wood
We tryed to work with *** and her floor problemWe did not install the bamboo floors, the moving board is an install problem, not the refinishersWhen we met with her we told he we had done many Bamboo floors (Refinishing) and had no problems*** When we looked at ***s floors the finish was pealing from the sides and edges indicating it was for shrinkige and expansionNot a refinishing problems, the humidy could be the problem, or maybe how it is being washed, (to much water) everyone lives difrently on there floorsShe should have done reserch on Bamboo in Alberta, they were already installWe just refinished themOnce they are in you try to refinish thatswhat she call us for***
He sugested a panitating finishWe told her that, and were ready to refinish them again with the penatrating finish at 50% costShe expected us to do it for free, it was not a refinishing problem and we don't work for free, we did our bestWe stand behind our wood if it was our fault we would have done them for freeWe feel bad for her, she should not rip out the floor she should use penitrating finish that will solve her problem

There are no humidity problems in our home and we do a dry wash on our floors which I have already gone over with this companyIf Bamboo flooring should not be refinished in Alberta then as a floor expert this should have been advised to a customer prior to starting the jobThere was nothing wrong with the install; problems did not start until it was refinishedAdditionslly, we have never been provided any information or a quote regarding a penetrating finishMy emails have gone unansweredThis is the first time I am hearing of a penetrating finish at 50% offI was advised that the company would explore doing a penetrating finish but needed to consult an expert and get back to me which never occured

*** I specifically asked this company about their experience in refinishing bamboo flooring and the written response was that they have experience and would do the jobNow this company is suggesting that I should have better done my homework before moving forward with this job*** This company indicated to me that they could do this job, have experience with this particular type of wood, and now want me to pay to have a job fixedA 50% off was never offered to me and this portion of the response is untrue just as the comment about the invoice is untrueI am not comfortable working with a company that does not take accountability for their workI do not accept the offer of 50% of a deep penetrating finish for reasons: 1) It sounds like this should have been the finish initially placed on our flooring as this is what you are saying is recommended for bamboo flooring, 2) This offer has never been formally made to me in writing with a quote, and 3) I will be taking my business elsewhere
