Urban Colorz Salon Reviews (1)

This is in response to a complaint I have received form [redacted] asked for to have her hair colored grey which is currently a trend in hair color. When she left the salon she was very pleased. Her hair was in good condition. I suggested that she buy purple shampoo for at home care to keep...

the grey looking grey and healthy. I have full documentation on all of our conversations before and after the process. When [redacted] text me her first response was this, "Hey it's [redacted]! So I love my hair but I'm kind of nervous it's a little too crazy for me... I was wondering if maybe in a week you could dye it brown? Or is it too soon?" My response was , "If you want to maybe in a week or two pull some low lights through it, your hair went through so much to get it there but its up to you you're the Client whatever you want to do just let me know and all over color is 65 if that helps you make a decision." I informed her that this would cost more because now she is requesting a different service. Her next response was, "Okay! I’m sorry! Ill leave it the way it is. You did an amazing Job". The text conversations went on the next few days. She was very unhappy with the feedback she was receiving from other people and her work. I am not held responsible for whether or not this was appropriate for her work environment. All greys have a blue undertone and if not taken care of correctly will fade to these tones. Hence the reason why I suggested the at home care. I informed my client of all of this information and she continued with threats of calling the board of cosmetology and my manager. I spoke with the board and the owner of the salon. I am an independent contractor and this is my responsibility. I offered to work with her, but I will not refund the money for the correct services she received nor will I do services for free. There was no breakage or damage to the hair when she left. When she continue to threaten me I responded with, "Once again I am an independent contractor and this is my decision to make. I have spoken with the owner of my salon and the Board of Cosmetology. I gave you what you asked for I am sorry that you have changed your mind and that you are unhappy. If you would like me to do an all over color because you have changed your mind, that will not be a free service. If you would like to come in later this evening after my last client I can to do a bleach wash for free and lift out whatever grey is left in your hair. The bleach wash would be for free, but if you would like it colored after that it will cost because again that is a new service that you are requesting." Her next text was this..."No I did not get what I wanted at all in any way shape or form and no way in [redacted] will I let you come near my hair let alone anyone I know. I will warn my friends about you. You are an awful person and I'm not sure how you receive a license. I guess they're just handing them out. I will get my money back and I will begin a civil suit against you and your fraudulent work. You talk a big game about how you should be nice to people yet in your line of work you are unwilling to fix a clear mistake. It's not what I wanted at all."Above you will see a picture of her grey hair, which is what she requested, and then changed her mind about wanting. The grey hair trend is a look that some professional offices may not approve of, and some people that don't care for it might voice their opinion about not liking. However, the client chose this color, which I delivered. I offered to remove the grey tone to make her happy, and the client did not accept that offer. Coloring her hair all over brown, would in fact be a new color service, which I would have to charge for. She said she liked it when she left, and even when she was debating going back to brown, she still told me she loved her hair and also that I did an amazing job.
