Review: I enrolled my son in a tennis class offered by this company offered at the [redacted] on [redacted] after participating in a free trial class. I selected the class because the owner / instructor assured me of his experience and because the class location and time was convenient. The initial class was on February ** at which I gave [redacted] a check for $480 made out to his company, Urban Tennis. He cashed the check immediately as it posted on February **. My son participated in class on March *. I received a call asking that we join another class time offered during the week which I agreed for one week but explained that the time was not convenient for us regularly. I did not receive any further communication regarding the status of the Sunday class going forward and there was no class offered on March ** becuse the synagogue was not available due to the Jewish holiday that day. I tried to reach [redacted] about the class that would have been on March ** and did not receive any reply. I then went to the class on March ** but it was not set up, no one was there. I was able to contact [redacted] on on March ** via text committed to giving me a refund which was never received. I contacted him again on April **, May *, May *, May **, May **, June *, June **, June ** and June *. He repeatedly responded that the money was on its way, or that he would arrange to drop it off, but I have never received. I understand there are other children enrolled who similarly were not offered the services paid for. I also understand the location has cancelled his rental arrangements however he continues to advertise the same location on his websites. He has begun a new business under the name [redacted], also advertising at the same location. I also note he does not take credit cards for services, clearly now I see that is to make it easier to defraud families of their money.Desired Settlement: I expect a refund of $480 as [redacted] has committed to in writing.
