In addressing the complaint that was submitted on 04/01/2015, we have had to make some assumptions The claimant listed has never been seen in our clinic but we believe him to be the significant other of a patient we saw on 03/14/ Based on visit charges and documented phone notes, we believe we have correctly identified the person seen at our clinic The patient was treated on Saturday, 03/14/15, for a medical issue and was issued prescriptions Patients who do not have insurance or have chosen not to bill their insurance are seen after they have agreed to pay $as a down payment Patients are also told that if they choose to pay the remaining balance after seeing the physician, there is a significant discount It is also explained that if the balance is billed, it is no longer discounted In this patient’s case, a remainder of $was due at the end of the visit In some instances, patients fail to return to the receptionist to pay their remaining discounted balance In good practice, we call the patient and explain that the unpaid balance was not received Our customer service staff contacted the patient on Monday, 03/16/to give her every opportunity to pay the $discounted balance Payments can be made in person or over the phone In this case, the patient made no further payment on her balance Subsequently, the patient received a statement for a balance of $ Urgent Care Physicians prides itself on being a quality, affordable healthcare facility We see all complaints and feedback as an opportunity to improve our clinic process It is common for our office staff to work with patients who communicate their needs with us Our last communication with this patient was on 03/16/ At that time, our records indicate that she understood her balance We also are confused by the $indicated by the claimant Our office charges are set and $exceeds all of our office visit fees If the patient would like to discuss this further with us, she is encouraged to contact a clinic manager at [redacted]

this patient’s case, a remainder of $60 was due at the end of the visit.
In some instances, patients fail to return to the
receptionist to pay their remaining discounted balance.  In good practice, we call the patient and
explain that the unpaid balance was not received.  Our customer service staff contacted the
patient on Monday, 03/16/15 to give her every opportunity to pay the $60 discounted
balance.   Payments can be made in person
or over the phone.  In this case, the
patient made no further payment on her balance. 
Subsequently, the patient received a statement for a balance of $130.
Urgent Care Physicians prides itself on being a quality,
affordable healthcare facility.  We see
all complaints and feedback as an opportunity to improve our clinic
process.  It is common for our office
staff to work with patients who communicate their needs with us.  Our last communication with this patient was
on 03/16/15.  At that time, our records
indicate that she understood her balance. 
We also are confused by the $340 indicated by the claimant.  Our office charges are set and $340 exceeds
all of our office visit fees.  If the
patient would like to discuss this further with us, she is encouraged to
contact a clinic manager at [redacted].
