US Air Duct Cleaning Reviews (4)

On November 30th, the technician performed the service as requested.  Mr. [redacted] did not inform the tech that the tile had a silicon coating on it.  It was only after the tech began to clean the grout and tile that he noticed the silicon was being removed by the tile cleaner.  Had...

we been informed of the coating, perhaps a different method of cleaning would have been chosen that would not remove the silicon.  This was told to Mr. [redacted] at the time.  As far as the grout, the owner told Mr. [redacted] that if he could find someone to clean the grout area that did not clean well (because the tech believes it has been stained from the ground up) then we would reimburse Mr. [redacted] for the cleaning.  From our experience, this grout needs to be regrouted or restained not cleaned.  Most of the grout did clean nicely but one area did not.A copy of the receipt, signed by Mr. [redacted] in attached with hi signature that he is satisfied with the work.Sincerey,[redacted], owner

I did receive a call from the company...

regarding the company coming back out to clean our return. A tentative appointment has been set for May 4th at 2:00. I'm waiting for a confirmation call to confirm the set appointment because the owner was out of town at the time the appointment was set and the lady needed to confirm he could do this date and time.

We have notified [redacted] as of April 21st,  and have scheduled an appointment to clean her return duct.  I assume this will be satisfactory to all concerned.Sincerely,[redacted], owner

Of course the facts of this matter are completely different than suggested by the vendors response.  In the interest of brevity I will point out what should be the obvious, and only important fact.  I paid this company to come into my home to clean the grout joints in my tile floors based on their advertisements and additional verbal representations claiming they were  experts at performing this service.  When they left, not only was the grout clearly not cleaned, they made an absolute mess out of the rest of my floor, as is demonstrated beyond any doubt in the attached video and pictures.    I am not a floor expert and should not be expected to have any input in this process other than pointing out what I wanted to have done.
The chronology and details of the company's account are simply untrue.  I welcomed them into my house, pointed out the grout areas I wanted treated, and went to lie down on a couch within speaking distance of the work area.  At no time during the 2-3 hour visit did either of them mention anything about the rest of the floor, their methods, the expensive hard coating I had paid to have applied to my floors, the condition of the grout, or any other relative details that would have lead a reasonable person to discuss it further.  Not until after they were completely done, packed up, and wanting me to sign their invoice, did they say anything about the sealer.  I did not sign their form accepting the work because I was satisfied with the job. Absolutely to the contrary.  I signed it because they needed to run my credit card.  When I inspected the work, I immediately questioned why none of it looked clean.  The company rep, perhaps the owner, made some remark that suggested I was dumb for not realizing that the grout would look dark until it completely dried, then I would see how great it looked.  That was total nonsense.  When the floor dried, the grout appeared to not have been touched, and the expensive hard coating I paid a real floor company to put on, had been stripped off, and not even uniformly, in a crazy, patchy mess that makes the floor look just terrible.  When I complained, they agreed to come out weeks later, but only to tell me that my 30 year old floor was the problem.  That, in their expert opinion, the grout had simply failed over time and could not be cleaned.  The problem with that dumb statement, is that the floors are only 4 years old. They also suggested they were not responsible for consequential damage to my floors.  Upon hearing this, and understanding that they had beenproved wrong, they just became belligerent and copped a "catch me if cant" attitude.  I am not content to let this matter rest until they reimburse me for the cost to have my floor resealed by a qualified company.  I will accept that I got burned on the grout arrangement and have someone else take care of it.
