Dear [redacted],
This letter is written in response to the complaint filed by [redacted] on Dec. 22, 2015.
[redacted], along with co purchaser [redacted] purchased the 2004 [redacted] mentioned in this complaint from us on 2/28/2015. They financed this vehicle "in house" for 1...

year with the agreement to pay $200 biweekly with the final payment of $41.78 due on 2/27/2016.Although multiple phone calls were placed warning them they were behind in their payments, this account was behind over 30 days repeatedly in the past 60 days. In going over the notes entered during our attempts to get this account current We realized that although discussed several times, The insurance that cancelled in May of 2015 was never reactivated and that to the best of our knowledge the car was un insured since May, 2015.
In November this account fell further behind although we kept calling to try and get [redacted] et all to catch up. Never was it mentioned that the vehicle was involved in an accident or that a claim had been started with the other parties insurance.
After being hung up on in December the decision to repossess this vehicle was made. Only after the car was brought in were we aware thast it had been in an accident. Furthermore, there was no licence plate on the vehicle, as the police had taken it off the car as it was uninsured.
During several conversations with [redacted] we were told that there was a valid claim, first with one company then another. When he stated that the insurance company was coming to see the damage at his address we told him that, as stated in the certified letter sent them, the vehicle was being stored on the back lot of our property and was available here for their inspection. [redacted] could have brought his account current and taken possession of the vehicle and dealt with this claim himself but he made no attempt to do so.
When no accurate information was offered us we obtained a copy of the accident report and informed the correct insurance company, [redacted], of the situation.
After the 15 day right to cure" had passed as per Pa.. state law, we took title to the vehicle and pursued a damage claim as we are in possession of the title and have a unresolved debt owed on this vehicle plus late and repossession fees.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Bruce B.
President

We had told [redacted], that until he had fixed the trunk, door, and check engine light, we would not be making any payments towards the car, due to him failing to follow through with his 30 day warrenty on all sold cars. We had asked him to please use something else to clear the check engine light. He told us that the light would go off when we filled the gas tank.
Which did not happen.

Review: Me and my wife [redacted] bought a 2001 [redacted] from U.S. Auto Sales

Last month and the car cost 5400,00

We put down 2400 dollars with a payment agreement of 300,00 dollars monthly.

We only had the car for a month now. We paid this months payment and have all the paperwork proving that what I'm saying is correct. Now this last week the owner and his girlfriend called our house at 10pm

Asking for money like they have a drug habbit or something. Saying we owe this and that. And last night at 2am he came and repoed the [redacted] and he said he wants 2000,00 for it back.

My wife and I filied a complaint the first week of having the car over the same things and over fixing the car.

Now I have everything to prove my words true. I want to press charges on the owner of U.S. auto sales for stealing my car...Desired Settlement: I want my car back and I want to press full charges for stealing the car...

Review: Upon leasing 2002 [redacted] from Bruce their were concerns with turning he stated it was possibly the different Al case in the front of the vehicle. He stated this is just what these cars do crab walk on turns about 4 months having the vehicle complaining about this issue that he did not take care of initially he does the front differential fluid change which I still haven't received a work order recipient. Shortly after the vehicle is not driveable he then told me it's the front differential I payed for this matter to be fixed to still have the same problems he continues to tell me this is what all wheel drive does and that his mechanic is not specialized in. But yet they did the work since day 1 this was a bad deal I gave this man 4000 dollars cash and he falsified the amount the car was bout for the listing price on the vehicle was over 7000 he sold it to me for 6000 but documents say other. Four days after the purchase the vehicle check engine light came on I spoke to a mechanic which I told him the battery was never hooked up to the car until he let me test drive it which could have defiantly through off the codesDesired Settlement: I just want some assistance in this matter I'm driving a vehicle that I feel is not safe to drive I would like to have it repaired.

Review: I called for a price on 2 used but like new tires, I gave them the info they needed and they quoted me the price with installation and tax, etc...her exact words were $100 out the door for 2 like new tires, grade B . When I arrived she admitted to speaking to me on the phone but switched and raised the price and the lowered the quality of the used tires to a tire that was barely passing inspection. I questioned them on why they were changing the price and quality they said you must have misunderstood me. I stated that I repeated everything back to them on the phone and they agreed so that I in no way misunderstood them.Desired Settlement: I want this business to stop misleading people with bait and switch I feel this happened when they saw I was driving an expensive car and im a female. I didnt appreciate feeling USED/ MISLEAD I wanted this on record with the Revdex.com so others wont get taken advantage of in the future. I am requesting a written apology by them so they realize how this effects the publics opinion of them.

U. S. Auto Sales,

Review: I went to US auto sales to purchase a used tire. I was informed that all tires sold are guaranteed to pass inspection as well as a 48 hour warranty. Less than 24 hours later I took the car to get it inspected and that tire failed. When I returned the tire to them showing why it failed and proof of me purchasing another tire, the "president" (Bruce B[redacted]) tried to tell me it should have passed inspection. Reguardless, it did not. Terry (the one who sold the tire to me) wrote up a fake receipt showing inaccurate information about the tire when I was present and then insisted it was not their tire. The mechanic who put the tire on confirmed it was their tire immediately as well as the other mechanic. I called in the next day and Bruce B[redacted]

refused to do anything about it to help me and told me "he didnt have time to argue about it so therefore he was done talking to me". This company officially "beat" me for my money. bad business!! BEWARE!! I trusted them and recommended their business to my friends and family over the years but since then I have retracted and they will loose customers..Desired Settlement: I would like a refund and an apology. I no longer have the tire anymore because I didnt need it and it I was stuck with a bad product so I disposed of it, having to pay more money out of my pocket

Review: Me ([redacted]) and my wife ([redacted]) purchased a [redacted] four (4) door car on February 18, 2014. We were told that our payments would be every two weeks of 170.00$. US Auto Sales, never told us when our first payment was due. We drove off of the property, had the car for that weekend, and the check engine light came on, and the passenger back door is to be automatic, along with the trunk being automatic. Neither the passenger back door, nor the trunk work properly. We took the car back several times, as we had a thirty (30) day warrenty on the car, we were told that the check engine light was due to the evop system, and that the passenger back door and trunk weren't working properly due to it being cold and the winter. [redacted], the owner of the shop cleared the check engine light with a check engine tester, and put oil/grease on both the passanger back door tracks, and the trunk tracks. We would drive off the lot, and the check engine light would reappear. Friday May 16th both me ([redacted]) and my wife ([redacted]) left to go do some arrands and noticed the van was taken, after being told that the car was not going to be repossed, after being told that they do not reposs cars.Desired Settlement: We ([redacted]) and my wife ([redacted]) would like a refund of the 2500$ that we paid for the car as we had a thirty (30) warrenty on the car, and the things that were wrong with the car were not fixed.

6/2/2014Dear [redacted],are writing in answer to a complaint filed with your office by [redacted] and received by us on May 28, 2014.**. [redacted] purchased this vehicle, a 2001 [redacted], on 2/18/14. As with all our vehicles for retail sale a limited 30 day warranty was put on this vehicle at the time of sale. When **. [redacted] brought the check engine light and the intermittent power sliding doors to our attention we advised him to stop in. After scanning the data stored on the engines ECM and lubricating the door slides and latch we advised him to stay in touch and us know if the problem persists. He was informed that we would need the vehicle dropped off for the majority of the day to allow us to find and correct the problem. **. [redacted] informed us that he would have to try and make arrangements to drop the van. Although he continued to complain whenever we called about his late payments. He never gave us the opportunity to get the van in our shop and really find the problem. It is unfortunate that **. [redacted] did not understand the terms of our financial arrangement as it was explained to him at the time of sale and several times after the sale. When his first payment was not made in a timely manner we called to remind him it was due. His first two payments were made late but we allowed him to make every attempt to get caught up. After the first 2 payments were made on 3/34 and 4/4 he made multiple promises but the only payment that he made after 4/4 was a check given us on May 02 which bounced. After several calls to **. [redacted] and his wife were made without result the vehicle was put out for repossession. It was collected on May 16 and the required certified letter with location of vehicle, balance owed and stating the 15 day right to cure was sent.We have since reclaimed our collateral as no attempt was made to catch up. **. [redacted] possessions were collected by his mother and that was the last we heard from him. Please feel free to contact us if you require any further information.Sincerely,

Consumer

Review: I purchased a 1996 [redacted] with 101,961 miles on it from U.S. Auto Sales Inc on 8-14-14. I entered into a sales agreement by which I made a down payment on the vehicle and made an agreement to make bi-weekly payments for the full price. However, two days after the purchase the vehicle began to lose vast quantities of oil. This oil requires 2 quarts per week be added to maintain proper levels. The smoke from the oil is significant. I contacted Bruce B[redacted], owner, President, and sales person for U.S. Auto and asked about repairs. He was given the car for three days and made no repairs to the vehicle. In fact, to make the necessary repairs he required me to replace various parts of the engine that did not need repaired or replaced. I pointed out the limited warranty that came with the vehicle (50% parts and labor within 30 days or 1000 miles) and yet he refused to make any repairs at all. I then approached him about getting a different car, one of equal or lesser value, and he agreed but refused to provide a vehicle. He did agree to swap for a more expensive car requiring more money. I then asked him for a refund, telling him that he could keep the money I paid in payments for a full refund of the $1148 down payment. To this he also refused. At this point I withheld payments (2 total) until the situation was resolved. Bruce then repossessed the vehicle with my personal belongings in it and has taken my registration which I paid for outright. He now refuses to even talk about options unless the payments are caught up.

Very simply put, this man is dishonorable and should not be allowed to run a business. He sold a car that he admitted had an oil leak to a 22 year old girl who was desperate for a vehicle and does not have the credit to obtain one at a more reputable location. Within two days of purchase the check engine light came on and oil began spewing out of it creating an operational hazard. The car was given back to him for three days to effect repairs, which he said he would do, but only if various parts were paid for and replaced by the purchaser, despite the limited warranty, or even ethical or fair sales practices. He was aware that there were issues with the vehicle before selling it, admitted to this, but now refuses to repair the car, switch it for a different one, or refund the down payment. There must be something that protects the consumer from dishonest people like this.Desired Settlement: Provide another vehicle of equal value or refund the down payment and end the sales agreement.
