Business responded to complaint.  See attached.Business response also copied and pasted below by Revdex.com staff 10/27/15.Revdex.com 2800 Euclid Ave. 4th Fl.Cleveland, OH 44115-2408 Attn: [redacted] Bruce [redacted] Construction 4 Linda Lane Jefferson, Ohio 44047 I...

attempted to complete all of the projects I contracted to do for Mr. [redacted] except for the guttering and splash guard, and the hole under the siding at the front door. Many of the projects I would begin work on could not be completed because he and his wife could not decide on how to proceed or what materials they wanted to use, so I was pulled off of that project and have to start work on another, Rather than replace small portions of trim at the garage door they had me remove and replace the trim with new PVC trim, along with patching holes in the driveway around the new trim. I cleaned the gutters, and removed 100 linear ft. of electric snow melters on the roof and cleaned off the roof. I removed 6 shutters, cleaned and painted them and then reinstalled them, I tore out the ceramic floor in the foyer because they were going to install heating under the flooring but decided on cork flooring instead. I removed the front door, door bell, storm windows and storm door, jams and brick mold. Up to this point I was told they liked my work and that everything looked very professional. Our problems began when I went to install the door they had special ordered. I had to tear out to rebuild the door jam and found the sub flooring and joists were rotted, so I had to rebuild all of that before the door could go in. Once I got the door in Mrs. [redacted] had a fit because it did not open in the same way the old one had but was reversed, I had cautioned them they needed to keep that in mind if they wanted it to open the same as their old one, but she insisted on ordering it herself, and she did so, Somehow that mistake became my fault. As to missing any work, I had seriously injured my back and they were scheduled for a vacation and so it was agreed upon that the work would resume as soon as possible upon their return home. As to absence because of my mother, she was having a surgical procedure and I left work early to be with my father (they are both in their late 70's). Since these people are relatives of mine, I decided to eat any losses I was taking and just get away from the situation and not make it worse. I had suggested that we just call it even when we terminated the work on his house but they seem to feel I have somehow hurt them since they have chosen to send a letter of complaint to you. In over 30 years of having done such work in several different states, I have never had any complaints that were not worked out to both parties satisfaction, and have never had a complaint sent to the Revdex.com. Please see costs below. I recommend that we just call it even and not try to collect payment from one another. Additional cost for trimming out garage with new PVC trim.......................  100.00 Additional costs for filling in holes in driveway around garage trim.............   50.00 Additional costs for removing electric ice melters from roof of house...........  25.00 Additional costs to tear out rotted joists and sub-flooring and rebuild.........   150.00 Receipts not yet submitted to Mr. [redacted].................................................   $270.11                                                                                                        $595.11
