Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I still have not received the checks as yetI did not accept the offer for USInvest to sell the units because I don't believe they can be sold at the price they quoted, that is what I paid plus their commission on top
I have researched the area and contacted several agents and all say that the ***et is flat and would not fetch the price they were asking So the units could be on the ***et for I don't know how long
This still does not solve my problem of having been sold over-priced real estate
I organised for a local agent to inspect the units last week and take photos and the units are good.
This still does not explain why it has cost me over $to make a renovated unit that has been vacant for months rent ready
LIT could not provide a condition report of the unit prior to the work being done The work was done without first notifying meSo, I have no way of knowing what the unit looked like before the work was done
Yes, as Tim says I am willing to keep the properties provided they are running well.
I have again been charged for flooring $on the July statement which I received in AugustAgain I was not
informed prior to the work being done(see attachment)
I am still waiting to hear from Tim about the scope of work from LIT

Review: I live in Australia and I bought 2 units in Athens GA from US Invest in September 2013. I bought them because US Invest advertised them as having been renovated. They also said that they were renovating the outside of the complex. The numbers sounded good, with good rental returns and US invest guaranteed to pay rent up to 8% on vacant units. My plan was to sell them a year later. I have contacted local agents with this in mind and they all said that the [redacted]et was flat and that the units were in a bad area. I believe US Invest over-inflated the value of the units and also over inflated the expected rental returns.Currently I am getting more than $100 LESS than what they quoted. In June I was billed by the property manager for over $500 worth of repairs to one of the units. When I asked them why a vacant and recently renovated unit needed that much work to prepare it for leasing, I was told that the unit was in poor condition, had holes in the walls, needed repainting and carpeting. This sounded like the unit was not renovated. When I approached US invest about this I got the run around. No one is willing or able to tell me what state the unit was in when I purchased it. I am in email correspondence with a US Invest customer service officer, but he is not really able to help me. I have requested many times to speak with one of the managers but I am just being ignored. I've asked them to take the units back and refund my money. They are offering to sell the units for me and credit the amount to another property with them. I do not want to deal with this company anymore, I do not trust them. I've invested my life savings in these units. I've been naive and gullible but I believe this company is big enough to give me a refund without threatening their business.Desired Settlement: I want US Invest to fully refund what I paid for the units.
