US Marble & Granite Corp. Reviews (3)

US Marble and Granite is dedicated to providing the highest quality material to our customers, as well as providing superior service to the valued customers we serve dailyWhen US Marble and Granite receives complaints from a customer, it is taken especially seriously, and we wish to resolve it to
the best of our ability. The only record of any complaint we have is from May 2015, which is passed the one year warranty expiration dateAlso the complaint received only addresses pitting which we explain to customers is common with natural stone. Without resealing the surface every six months, any granite will show staining and other possible damageWe provide our customers with information about care and maintenance about each stone selection we carry, and we also sell a line of cleaning products made specifically for natural stone surfacesWe abide by the Marble Institute of America’s practices and recommend to our clients to reseal their countertops on a regular basisWe have attached the documentation we provide to customers which not only gives maintenance and care instructions, but also information about the properties of natural stone surfacesAs stated in the care instructions, stone that is not resealed periodically will absorb liquid and other substance causing staining. Here is some further information about the stone used in your countertop: http://pubs.marble-institute.com/pub/2c79e999-d614-20f1-563f-ae6faa023f7f Thank you for the opportunity to help and better ourselves as an organizationPlease let us know if you need us to assist with this matter further. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
It is convenient US Marble shows no call in January and yet at no time during my emails did they say they didn't get a call even though it was clearly stated in follow up emails. I did not email in January as I thought they were a reputable company and did not need a paper trail.  It was only after they did not do what they said they would do I started emailing. And why was I told a service tech was dispatched but never showed up.That said I still have the issue so if I could have the name of the party that and help solve the problem.
Regards,
[redacted]

Ms. [redacted] is claiming that she has called in January of 2014 in reference to pitting in her granite tops. No such call record exists, however pitting is a common characteristic in Natural stone, and her complaint would have been addressed by anyone here at US Marble via phone, and without a visit to her residence. We do inspect every top that leaves our facility, and if such pitting of the tops existed, it is very much acceptable within our standards.  Also, we have attached a copy of the original estimate signed by Ms. [redacted]. December 2013.  Highlighted at the bottom of the estimate, it is clearly stated that stone is product of nature, and it will vary in t color, markings, veining, and texture. US Marble & Granite abides by the guidelines of the Marble Institute of America. It is stated that: (As per attachment) “Pitting of the countertop surface, particularly in granite material, is a commonly seen characteristic on natural stone. The pits do not make the granite less durable or otherwise inferior, and do not in themselves qualify the slab for replacement. Pits are common in all granites and should be expected when dealing with a natural, polished stone containing several types of minerals of varying hardness. It is usually best to not attempt repair of pits, as most repair techniques will not cosmetically improve the countertop. “ Now comes Ms. [redacted] to claim that the granite is cracking, and staining. Pitting has No relevance to the cracking, or spotting. Her claim is beyond the warranty period of 1 year. There are special companies that maintain the stone, and we would be more than happy to recommend a company that does such maintenance. Our company does not. Thank you Debbie P[redacted]
