Review: On January 23, 2014, I spoke with the owner ([redacted]) from US Movers to discuss hiring movers to move my household items. He gathered my information and stated there was a $100.00 security deposit. I gave him my info and charged $100.00 to my account. [redacted](owner) and team emailed me a contract to review. The contract stated that three men and a truck would be available on February 28, 2014 @ 9:00 a.m. I signed, we agreed and so I thought everything was ok.On February 28th, two movers came with a small truck and a different contract. I explained to the movers that I asked for three men and the truck was not big enough for my items. In addition, this contract is completely wrong and showed them my contract. The movers called their boss ([redacted] who explained that [redacted] (owner) no longer works there!!! I explained that a contract was signed and that they would have to honor my contract. The new owner ([redacted] stated if I did not like it, then his movers could go.I was very upset and crying because I needed to move out on that day and had given them my money. I ended up calling my fiance who also spoke with [redacted]. He stated that the two movers could leave and he would send three new movers within two to three hours!!! We disagreed and asked for a refund. The owner stated that my security deposit would be back in my account on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. As of today, my money is not back in my account.I called the moving company back to discuss my refund and who answers the phone but [redacted]!! I was amazed and asked him when he returned to the company. I then knew this company was a scam!!! I had to find new movers and dish out a lot of expenses because of this scam!!I really need something done about this. Please help!!!Desired Settlement: I want their company shut-down!!! I pray this does not happen to anyone else. They are taking advantage of hard working people.

Regards,

Review: The contract was not followed and resulted in the movers holding my items hostage until I agreed to pay (in cash) the additional $400 they were insisting was required to complete the move. Many items were verbally "added" into the contract and was stated as "this is how the company works" and many items there were in fact written were not honored. Below is a list of all the issues. Please note, that when we contacted the company's management their instructions to their movers were to hold our items in their truck until all the money was received. This fraudulent company ripped me off during my move and proved to be a complete scam when our sales representative was contact and she claimed to have to recollection of this deal. Here are the contract violations:

- Written in the contract it says: $85/hour covers labor and time. However we were being charged $85 for labor and an additional $85 for the time. So for 3 hours of work, he said it was $255.00 for the labor and then $255.00 for the time spent. It clearly states in the contract that the fee of $85.00 covers both labor and time per hour.

- Contract says that the payment would be for the total # of hours, however our time was not being properly added together. For every "section" of the move the time was being taken, rounded to the hour and then all added together. For example, from arriving at point A to pack items into truck took 30 minutes and to move them to point B took 30 minutes. That should be an hour correct? No, the team was rounding each step to an hour and that 60 minute process was being charged for 120 minutes. They said that time can not be combined together and each section has to be rounded up to a whole hour. So for 3 hours of work, we got charged for 6 hours of work. IN ADDITION to labor and time being charged twice.

The company was rude, didn't provide a proper itemized receipts and management took no responsibility. Twice I heard the manager say to his driver, "Keep their stuff. That will make them pay". Absolutely fraudulent and a scam.Desired Settlement: Initially, I just wanted to bill adjusted to what was promised in the contract - 3 hours of work at $85.00/per. However, the emotional and financial toll that this has taken leads me to believe I require a total refund from this company. I would like a total refund.

Review: We hired US Movers to perform a moving service. I have a 2-bedroom apartment with little furniture, and move to a house approximately 6-mile away.

Before the estimation, I provided a list of all the items to move and conditions of the housing. US Mover quoted me for three hours (three movers and one truck). The hourly rate was $90 per hour. The estimated total was $270, three hours (three movers and one truck). I specifically asked if there were any additional charges, the estimator on the phone stated:"NO."

At the end of the moving service, they charged me for $1215, which includes the following:

(1) Seven hours of time. The workers started at 11:15 am and ended at 3:45 pm including a lunch. (I paid for lunch), so a total of 4.5

hours including lunch time. They charged me for a total of seven hours, in which, two for travel times and five for moving time. The two traveling

hours, they explained were counted from their warehouse to my home. This was completely contradict to what they originally claimed in the phone about no other hidden charges.

(2) $382 dollars of packing materials. They charged me over $382 on packing materials, among which most I did not authorize them to use. In fact, I

provided rolls of packing tape and mattress covers but those are left in the apartment without being used.

(3) $50 Stairs fee Contradict to the original phone quote, not disclosed in the original phone quote. I have disclosed the stairs to the original

estimator. This fee was never mentioned.

(4) 10% fuel charge Contradict to the original phone quote of no other charges.

US movers provided me with a written contract for me to sign before the move. They did not honor the original quoted price ($270) in the written contract, but I did not read the contract carefully and signed the papers. I have no record of the original phone quote, but I have quotes received from other merchants, which clearly shows that the average cost of this job is around $400. I would not have chosen US movers if they did not provided a lower quote. I can provide the other quotes upon request.Desired Settlement: Desired Outcome:

5 hours moving time: ($90*5=$450)

Packing materials: ($100)

Tip ($50) =$600
