Review: I filled out a survey that was to qualify me for a free tablet. Once I did this it sent me to a site that asked for $1 for tablet. I concur that it was my fault that I did not read the terms and conditions. I also concur that I am stupid when it comes to this type of advertising. I guess I thought it was for shipping...or process which I have had at sites before. I should have realized I should not give my credit card. That being said...I started wondering how this could be and worrying about giving them my credit card. So I researched and found the website that said I could cancel my account...WHICH I DID! I READ THAT YOU HAD THREE DAYS TO DO SO IN THERE TERMS AND CONDITIONS! I did this and low and behold I was charged $99 for there site. I immediately sent an email asking them why they charged my account when I cancelled it. They said I did not properly cancel. They wanted proof - I did not know I would need to take a screen shot of the cancellation.
I feel like there is advertising is very misleading and set up to take advantage of naive people such as I. I did everything I could to cancel this. When I emailed them they were just rude and critical. I talked to my bank and they said the company will cancel my account because they get enough customers that they don't need to take advantage of someone.
I told them that all I wanted was my $99 back...that I couldn't afford to give that up. They did not care one bit! Never saw that tablet that they advertised as FREE if you fill out the survey. They offered me a free gift but did not say what it was and I told them I did not want anything from them except my $99. I don't understand how hard that is. They can go back and see I have never accessed their site to play any of their games...that I totally did not understand what I was getting into. We had several email back and forth and they just started criticizing me so I ended the conversation.
I made a mistake and just need my money back.Desired Settlement: I just want my $99 back. I don't really care about the $1 I gave them at the start. I told them they could keep that for their trouble. I did not ever see a tablet either!
