I visited this establishment on 30 May 2105. Upon entering there is a banner hanging above the shop advertising a Manicure and Pedicure special on only Mon -Tues- and wed for $25.00. As you enter the shop to the left on the window they have the price for a manicure and pedicure listed at $28.00. I go in and I get a manicure and pedicure and I notice the tech write down $30.00 as she was filling out her ticket, which prompted me to ask her about the price. She told me that the pedicure was $20.00 and the manicure was $10.00. As I referred her to the price posted at the front door which clearly stated $28.00, she told me that is cost more for a man, and I immediately asked her well why is the men's price list not posted beside the regular list at the door and she had no answer. Other techs came over and they began talking in there native language as I stood there waiting for clarification, no attempt was made. Review: Sunday August 3, 2014 I visited the US Nails Salon in [redacted] MD for a service named 'Full Set". It's the process of adding a plastic artificial nail to the tip of your own and acrylic powder and liquid are laid over top to form a nail. This service on average lasts about 3-4 weeks and longer depending on care and activity with hands. On Thurday August 7, 2014 I noticed that two of my nails were missing after I awoke from a nap. Noting that this has NEVER happened before I examined the remaining nails and noticed that they were all 'lifting' at the cuticle. After 3-4 weeks this original nail starts to grow and the cuticles start to lift the acrylic layer. I phoned and revisited the business in hope that something could be done to fix this matter. A new technician proceeded in attempting to repair the nails until there was a discrepency on a charge for a polish change. Due to my request of new color upon repair the tech quoted a price. I then informed her that this was not going to work after all and requested a refund. It was shocking to me how a job was unsatisfactory but they business still wanted to charge for more services. The initial nail tech then proceeded also to repair my nails and quoted she was only going to repair the missing nails and not the ones that were lifting. I informed her that fear of the same incident reoccuring I did not wish to have any further services done and further requested my refund. She declined and I called the police for a report. I collected the needed information so that I can visit the commisioner's office for further refund requesting information. Below are links for the pictures taken the date the problem occured[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like the $25.00 USD I spent to be refunded immediately.
