Quite interesting... I just submitted a negative comment and it has not been posted! At the end of June, I placed bids on two items and won. One was an amethyst/ gold ring and the second piece was a gold bangle bracelet. I paid in full for them immediately. Both were sent to the post office and I was not here to get them. I went out of town for three days but became quite ill and did not arrive back at home for a month.
The post office returned the items and I have no way to reach the senders. They had my address to send the items but never bothered to contact me to return them. NO response from
calling , more times than I can count, to US Property Acquisition Services. Very polite customer service reps take my information when I call and promise a response which never happens. I am out a lot of money and am FURIOUS!
For what it is worth, I am contacting the Revdex.com!
I do hope no one else shares this sort of criminal experience!

Review: Description of Art was very misleading, shipping and handling and other fees were not presented accurately. The Art was presented as an original etching by [redacted]. This was perceived by me to believe it was rare. I was actually surprised I won with an eighty-one dollar bid, I was even more surprised when I received an invoice of one hundred and twenty dollars, still more shocking was to find the same etching for sale on [redacted], and various other internet sites. The terms of the auction as described led me to believe that having to bid by forty dollar increments was due to shipping being added to the bid. It is not. And suddenly there is an eighteen percent buyer fee. I do not even know what that means. I am not new to auctions; I have conducted a few myself and in all cases I have never experienced this. Fees have always been clearly defined, description has always been required to be accurate. By leading a bidder to believe they are bidding on a rare piece of American History this company has behaved in a fraudulent manner. I find this to be despicable behavior by this company.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my bid retracted and that U.S. Property Acquisition Services release whatever hold they believe they hold over me or my financial interests. I would also like to see this company be held to the standards other auction companies are held. All objects subject to auction should be fully and accurately described so there is no mistake as to the bidders belief in what they are bidding on. All fees should be accurately described so the bidder is aware of actual payment required.

Dear Sir/Madam,

In response to the complaint listed above, we stand behind the description listed for this item, which states that lot [redacted] is an original etching by [redacted]. In addition, this item comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Every participant in the auction must register and agree to the terms of the sale. The buyer's premium and shipping fees are clearly outlined in the terms. In addition, on each item listing page (the page where the customer views the pictures and description of the item he is interested in bidding on) both fees are indicated in large bold red font.

The customer placed the high bid of $81.00 on this item. As his was the winning bid, he was invoiced for the hammer price plus the 18% buyer’s premium as well as the shipping fee for a total of $ 120.58.

The terms indicate that winning bids must be settled within two days of the auction closing. To date, the customer has not paid for this item.

As he has not paid, the bid has been cancelled and the account has been deactivated, per the terms of the sale.

Please let me know if you need any other information. I may be reached at ###-###-####.

Sincerely,
