Review: We purchased a Radon Remediation system from US Radon and had it installed October 24th as required for the sale of our home at 33 [redacted] CT. They installed a Bubble Up manufactured by [redacted] and guaranteed this system would reduce the radon level down below the State of CT and EPA Guideline of 5000 pCi/L. As part of our installation we received a water test to confirm the new system was working. A week after installation our water test came back above the recommended CT guidelines of 5,000 pCi/L and unacceptable to our home buyers. I contacted US Radon to find out what they recommended doing. They suggested performing a water re-test and I was told the owners were on vacation and there is not anyone available to come out to take a sample of the water. We even offered to take it ourselves. Our home inspection deadline extension for radon was November 15th. Without any other viable options we had the home inspector come out from HPI Inspections to collect a water sample. The sample came in within a day lower than the CT guidelines and our home inspection issues were resolved. I have spoken to US Radon several times about a reimbursement for at least a portion of this additional $80.00 test. Nov 18, 2013 I emailed their customer service contact Lorrie she replied that all info was received. I was requested to send the test results and the receipt from HPI. Dec 23, 2013 I emailed to follow- up never heard backJanuary 10, 2014 I emailed to follow-up again never heard back Called January 29, 2014 and spoke to Lorrie again she said she would have the owner call me. The owner never called. I called them and spoke to the owner where I was told it was not her problem that they were unable to collect a sample before our home closing deadlines. We hired US Radon because they promised to resolve this problem for us so that we did not have any issues with our home sale. I feel unbelievably deceived by their blatant disregard for me as a customer.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate this company splitting the cost of the additional test with us $40.
