To begin, they were incredibly helpful and accommodating, but as the process has gone on they're trying to nickel and dime us for things without proof or explanation
The contractors that came to pick up my furniture were nice and semi-professional and took good care of my thingsThey packed everything up fairly quickly and explained to me that taking my oversized couches would exceed the space allotted on the quote so the rate would go upI opted to leave my couches and they left with my things
When they called to schedule the drop off they informed up that we owed he remaining balancourse, but then on top of that we owed an additional $When we asked why they said that there were charges for the distance from the door to the truck at the pick up site, additional space exceeding the quoted square footage, and staircase chargesThe only legitimate charge was the stairs charge that we were wiling to pay forNeither of the other charges were told to me upon pick up AND they said that the additional space in the lot increased the fuel charge
After repeatedly asking for an itemized bill and proof of the additional costs, and not receiving this information, I have asked for a supervisor or manager contact information repeatedly and it has not been provided
Now they are holding my things until we pay the "balance owed" but the inflated balance and not the one we quotedWe even included the charges for staircases and a portion of the increased fuel chargeNow, they have stopped responding to my calls and emails
We are on the verge of involving the authorities and our attorneyHopefully no one else has to experience this trouble with themWe were swindled because they were the cheapest quote for our move but their shady business practices clearly intend to gouge you on the other end with you're at their mercy because they hold all of your belongings
