I absolutely recommend Us Solar they provided the best service. I love that we switched to solar panels.

We what to thank both Dylan & Dawson. They both where every professional and patient. They answered all our questions, even if we asked the same question 5 times. We never felt pressured or uncomfortable making the decision to go with US Solar. We're very happy, we were able to get the right system, needed for our household. We give an A+, for customer service, we will recommend them to all our family and friends. Very happy and satisfied customers.

Great experience. Great customer service, very professional people. I would recommend this company to my friends.

Well I have had the solar panels for a little over a year and a half now. The whole process was great... they were honest & upfront with everything, I knew exactly how much I would pay for them and how it was going to work. They have pretty much wiped out my electric bill, besides the monthly base charge for the Teco meter & the ZapCap (which technically I don't need.) Very happy with the result, and most importantly, I'm helping the environment!

Brandon S. has always taken the time to make sure my family and I were taken care of...apparently even while he was on vacation. Sorry Brandon. He has gone out of his way to personally stop by several times after our solar installation and answer any questions we had. I can truly say he has provided us with top notch service, equipment and has gone above and beyond. We are delighted with our new solar system and are already reaping the benefits. 10/10.

The service and friendliness was exceptional my kind of family

Identity theft, fraud
Daniel G., a contractor with US Solar Squared, misrepresented himself as an associate with Orlando Utilities Commission and told my elderly mother that she qualified for a program to receive free solar panels. My mother asked what was the cost and he told her it was free. He then proceeded to take out a loan in her name without her knowledge or consent. He deliberately falsified her information on the application, I presume to make sure that she qualified. My mother is 85 and lives on a limited income from social security. He claimed her annual income to be $78k. We found this out later when we were able to obtain a copy of the loan documents.
Mr. G. never informed my mother that he was applying for a loan in her name, nor did he attempt to explain the terms of the loan, and he did not review any of the required disclosures with her.
My mother, who is 85, is not computer-savvy and is not aware of what an electronic signature is. When Mr. G. asked her for her email address, she explicitly told him not to email her because she does not use it. Mr. G. took a picture of my mother's personal information and tricked my mother into tapping on his iPad, which he captured as her electronic signature. She had no idea that he was presenting her with a loan document. She asked him repeatedly what the cost to her would be, and he repeatedly informed her that there would be NO cost to her.
Later, I was able to retrieve the document and discovered that Mr. G. had taken out a loan for my mother for a total of $32,233.74. When I informed my mother of this, she was understandably shocked and confused as to why Mr. G. would have lied to her in such a blatant and reprehensible manner.
Mr. G. has attempted to commit identity theft by using my mother's information to fraudulently apply for a loan. I wish this incident to be documented and available to consumers, as I am certain that this fraudster is targeting elderly citizens and I am sure that my mother was not his first victim, nor will she be his last.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Selling to an elderly customer without a second family member present is against our company policy. This was the first time this has occurred. At US Solar one of our Core Values is Integrity and Always Doing the Right Thing! As a result, your mother's contract and loan were cancelled as soon as we learned of this situation.

Mr *** behavior is being investigated by our internal team and appropriate action will be taken, which may include termination. Additionally, We are evaluating our company quality assurance systems and are going to add a new procedure to be certain this doesn't happen again.

Once again, our sincerest apology and thank you for making us aware of this concerning situation.

Solar panels are not functioning properly. I am paying more for electricity with solar panels than I was without them. The company is not responding.
I purchased the solar panels on early April of 2019 from US Solars represented by Eddie L. (sales rep). They were installed on my roof on April 15,2019. I financed roughly $23,000 to purchase 17 solar panels through a service financing company that US Solars provides. This loan is to be paid over a 25 year period. A monthly payment of $72 is to be made for the first 12 months, then after that, it is $133 per month.

I was promised that the panels would be working within a month of install. US Solar ran into some problems with TECO (electric company) and the function of the panels was delayed. They were not able to get the panels working until mid-June due to such delays. Once everything was resolved the sales rep told me to give it at least one billing cycle before I started to notice the benefits of the panels on my billing statement.

It has been two billing cycles thus far. I am currently paying more for the combination of solar panels and electricity from TECO (electricity company). It was more cost effective for me when I just had the electric from TECO. The only reason why I purchased solar panels was because Eddie, the sales rep, promised me that I would pay less with the solar panels, and that in fact, TECO would be paying me because I would be producing excess electricity and selling it back to them.

I have a log in my notebook of the numerous times I have called customer service phone number and the main offices. They take a message from me and tell me that someone will be in contact. I have yet to hear back from them. In addition, I have communicated with the sales rep, Eddie, via phone and text message numerous times with the hopes that he can help my situation. He tells me that the support team will be contacting me, yet I have not heard back from the support team.

I am frustrated at the fact that the solar panels were supposed to be a measure to save money, but it has actually become more expensive than my family can afford. On top of that, they are not resolving my issue in a timely manner.

Desired Outcome

I have had multiple inconveniences with them and I am no longer interested in doing business with them. I would like for US Solars to take their solar panels back and refund me the money because the solar panels are not working as advertised.

This case has been resolved before we received the complaint.

US Solar reached out to the customer and determined that the solar panels are working properly and as intended. The intention of solar panels is to reduce the electric bill received by the homeowner for the individual consumption. We strive for a typical timeline in Hillsborough county to be 90 days from signing of the US Solar contract to installation and production of system. However, we are still currently working on a process with Teco and the county of Hillsborough for a quicker turnaround time. It is not uncommon in the summertime here in Florida for our customers to experience a higher bill due to full time Air Condition use and overall electrical consumption verses other times in the year. Our sales reps inform our customers of the estimated average bill payments that they could have with their electric company based off the information taken from their individual consumption of electricity. Mr. has been compensated for the miscommunication of not explaining the summer time bills as a result of US Solar not living up to our promise of expert care and providing a "W0W" customer experience. We'll always do the right thing!

Ryan came out to the house and explained everything to us about solar power. We had been thinking about getting solar and I had done a little bit of research on it so I was prepared for anything that sounded too good to be true.

Instead what I got was an honest evaluation of the benefits of solar and the downsides of it in a fair and honest way. I was impressed by the system that US Solar uses to mount their system, how it is American made and not the cheap Chinese panels, their warranty and customer service.

The App they have as well for monitoring the system is very user friendly and being a control freak I love checking the app to see how much power I am generating rather than paying TECO.

We have had the system running for a month now and even without asking Ryan called me just to check to see how everything was and if I was satisfied with everything. I wish I had something negative to say on how they handled everything from start to finish but everything was great.

One last thing that did surprise me a little, when we had the overcast day with rain the panels still did pull in solar power when I was sure the cloud cover so was thick I would read zero. It wasn't the same as a clear sunny day but the fact that it generated some power impressed me.

We purchased our solar panels through US Solar this Summer and have been very pleased with the process and product from start to finish. From the very beginning, US Solar has provided us with an excellent product, a seamless installation and solid expertise explaining the system. Their sales team is knowledgable, friendly and courteous. The owner of the company has actually been by my home several times post-installation to make sure everything is running smoothly. We couldn't be any happier with our new solar panels.

Offers the top quality product professionally installed.The process was simple from the quote to even seeing if solar was worth getting. There is no pressure, I thought about it for 3 moths before finally giving the go ahead, it was a no pressure sale.

US Solar was there every step of the process making sure every step went smooth, from planning to install to how it works and final inspection. (permitted and inspection is very important to me) They will be doing my next house if I move again! 10/10 will use again!
