Review: Where do I start? I asked for an estimate to be done on a tree removal. I spent 6 months

Calling every week sometimes twice a week asking for the company to come out have have tree

Looked at. The owner has given me EVERY excuse in the books for making appointments with and never showing up.

I was then asked to send them photos of the tree and an estimate could be established. Still no response. I continued to call weekly and ask if they were planning on giving me a Quote. A total of 6-8 months passed and finally got an appointment for them to come out and go over a contract with me. ([redacted]) made an appointment with me and never showed up. Again having to continually call I finally got an over the phone quote of $900 to remove to tree. Without a concrete date set us tree service showed up randomly to cut my tree down. No contract was written up or discussed what the job entailed. After leaving for the day the owner informed me that she wanted to be paid in full for the day. I wrote out a check and never received a receipt. She said they would be back to take the huge left over wood would be picked up and tree stump grinned. Again I knew that this was going to be a struggle to get this company back to my house to finish the job! Two and a half weeks I spent calling and asking when they were going to finish the job I had paid in full for! . After more excuses from the owner someone finally showed up to grind the stump and remove any wood chip left over from the stump grinding. I was shocked and surprised to later find out that they were refusing to come back and clean up the huge pile of wood grindings left on my lawn! No one ever discussed this with me informing me of what was included in the price. I was told by the owner personally that because she gave me a deal for being so patient that $900 was a bargain and that they weren't coming out to finish the clean up because that's an extra charge. Non of this was discussed with me. This to me is extremely unprofessional ! And why am I being punished for they're lack of properly presenting a written contract with the job stipulations.Desired Settlement: I would like the job completed with an exact date of when they will be coming.

Some background to this complaint: [redacted] was our waitress while we dined at [redacted]'s in [redacted]. We gave her a card for her to call for some tree work she needed. She called us and we were busy wilth emergency work after a storm in our area. [redacted]s 84 year old Dad had a life treatnening cancer batte which still continues. [redacted] told us she was not in a rush. [redacted] told her to get other estimates and we would give her a discount.. Our new estimator gave her an estimate after she looked at a picture and verbally told [redacted] that it would cost $900.

[redacted] called her and told [redacted] we were coming to do the tree and she responded OK. Upon arrival I knew the tree should have been priced at around $3,000. [redacted] moved her car to give us access. I did not get a signed contract for the work but she revealed that the lowest other estimate was $3,000. We did not change the price of the verbal agreement. She saved over $2,000 from the other tree service estimate. At no charge we took a small tree away from her house with her permission since we saw that it would make the property look nice.

The four pieces of wood and stump would be done at a later date, and time had passed and she called to say that this stump must done so they could get landscaping done.

We completed all of her original verbal agreement including the stump grinding and the four peices of wood.

Our estimate was to take down tree, remove the branches and tree logs, if a customer wants a stump to be grounded that is an additional cost in this case it would have $375 and to remove the grinds and backfill the hole would have been another $300.

US Tree Service has completed this verbal agreement with the removal of the four pieces of wood and with the stump grounded (which would have been at an additional cost) Any additional services such as remove the grindings and backfill the hole would be priced accordingly and not an open ended contract as [redacted] is requesting.
