Review: I purchased two pairs of corrective eye glasses for $364.00 from [redacted] I had taken the glasses back several times do to headaches, jaw pain and blurry vision. At first I was told I needed to "Get used to the new glasses." When I persisted with the sales attended they then decided that the prism was 1 1/2 base up instead of 1 1/2 base down as called for by the script. They sent the glasses to be remade. The new glasses were still blurry and caused headaches. I took them to my doctor of optometry, [redacted] confirmed via written script: "Claire obtained two pairs of glasses from you over one year ago. The original RX, as written, called for 1 1/2 base Down OV, in combination with the myopic component. NEITHER pair contain prism: the Semi-rimless pair of glasses demonstrate warped lenses." I took the note from my optometrist who has been in practice over 40 years and my glasses back to [redacted] requesting a refund because they did not deliver the medical corrective script as purchased and have caused additional medical problems as a result of defective glasses. They will not issue a refund even though they are completely at fault. I have taken these glasses back to [redacted] numerous times to be corrected. They have not been able to sell me what I ordered. J[redacted] stated they would send the glasses to US Vision to be checked and remade if warranted. I will no longer subject my vision at their expense. I would like a refund in exchange for the defective product.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $364.00 as the product I purchased was not delivered.

Hello, I received a letter dated 10/7/2013, stating that this case is unresolved. We've done everything that the customer as asked for and she was satisfied with resolution when I spoke to her as of 9/30/13.

Please let me know if there's anything else that needs to be done to satisfy this case.

I have settled the complaint directly with the consumer on 9/30/13, a refund has been issued in full on 10/1/13, a check will be sent to the customer shortly.

I visited the [redacted] Optical due to their add of $39.99 for a COMPLETE PAIR OF GLASSES. It was clearly stated that any frame under $99 qualified.
I was clear to the person helping me I was only interested in the $39.99 offer, she showed me a few pairs of glasses and I chose one. I then went to pay. My total investment was over an hour in driving up and back, walking in, choosing glasses and getting 80% through checkout.
The FRAUD that I will call it is there is NO way to purchase ANY PAIR under $99 for the $39.99 cost. The price was almost double when I walked away because it was an mandatory lens upgrade for most of the glasses, including the ones I chose. I understand businesses have the right to try and upsell better lenses and maintenance plans, both of which I sat through and listed, however I was not interested. What a business doesn't have the right to do is advertise an offer (ANY Frame $99 or less for a complete pair of glasses for $39.99) without calling out that most of the frames require a LENs upgrade that will almost double the cost. Basically the advertised offer is NOT available.
I hope folks will take this as a warning to NOT do business with this company or [redacted] (while this is a third party vendor, [redacted] allows their name to be used and should be aware of this fraudulent practice). Thank you for listening.
