Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Contract was NOT complete to our satisfaction, nor the contractors if truth be told, and we are still dealing with water intrusion from three story area with no scaffoldingAs we watched him, (one man on a ladder with no assistance), asked if he could see over gutter well enough when it appeared he was feeling his way to place and secure it, later sharing with us disturbing personal things and asking for money3rd, Two man crew who came to continue to try to correct installation issues, further caulked/patched up the gap obvious gaps between gutter and house base, said it was a bad job and didn't know if they would help the situation but contractor had called them to see if they could This crew also took the liberty to dump a pile of scrap iron (that didn't come from our project) behind our house for later pick up and did not move it til we demanded them to do so4th crew, also coming to do patchwork on a brand new The Contract Was fulfilled the owner did not pay the balanceplease review first attachment ( existing conditions of the building after years of occupancy) second file please review that is the house they wanted to match which is within a block from their residencelastly please review the work done over months of workwhen the final invoice was presented for payment Mrs*** refused to pay claiming that she was dissatisfied with all the work doneOur company was not contracted to replaced the roofthe roof has leaks due to at least different storms in the past several years....Mrs*** complaints about any of the crews sent to work at her building were the samevery intense difficult personsincerely, *** *** ***

Our company agreed to removed the boxed guttering system on the building and to match the new gutters to the building around the cornersee other email.to build a new wooden rear deck, to spot tuck point the chimney tops and to do a siding make up on the dormers rear and front.First of all The
***'s hired us because we worked on the rehab of the *** *** *** ** *** *** ***interior and exterior build out.the work at their residence was imperative since the exterior had been neglected for almost years, the initial work required very intense labor due to the fact that the building is too close on the right side to the neighbor and on the left side is blocked by the fence of their other neighbor so the arrangement to work was achieved by accommodating our work load to the neighbors conditions and schedule. We had a difficult time on the demolition stages and the remaking of the eave or extension of the perimeter of the building due to the fact that the trusses or roof deck rafters were rotten and every one of them had to be extended which we finally achieved at a cost out of the scope of the contractMrs*** expressed concern on the first crew not being able to achieve her goalso we replaced the crew with a new one to satisfy her requirementsthe roof has been hit by several storms in the past few years and the signs of wear and tear are evident on the pictureswe were not hired to replace the roofnevertheless we went out to do a lot more work that was signed and agreed as per contract specially around the chimney tops where the flashing has already been compromised. After the final clean out of the job site and after exchanging numerous emails to satisfied her intense scrutiny and many corrections requested we though that she was okand presented her with the final invoice, Mrs***'s reply was "you have already been paid and we do not intend to pay a penny more"so I'm surprised and upset that someone that doesn't pay her bills claims to be harmed by us, since we have not been paid in fullin order to claim a breach of contract and warrantiesshe needs to pay usSincerely,*** ***

We have responded but have more images to submit.  We called the Revdex.com office and were told we could email them.  Additional pictures are attached that show that there is still water intrusion and gutter leaks.

I am rejecting this response because:
1.    Contract was NOT complete to our satisfaction, nor the contractors if truth be told, and we are still dealing with water intrusion from gutter installation in areas that were not leaking originally. Yes ALL work was scrutinized and questionable from the beginning. Documented with many emails, texts and pictures on file.2.    If 4 months of work, it includes days that contractor & crew did not show up for one reason or other.3.    Not contracted for roofing but this is first we've heard of roof leaks and storm damage. Roof was completely replaced a few years ago. Leaks we're concerned for now are coming from gutters, whatever chimney tuckpointing and light chimney repair.4.    Crew complaints are legitimate especially since contractor admittedly STARTED with wrong crew. 2nd, 1-man crew, we're assuming came to install the gutter. Each crew after that seemed to have been sent to correct/patch up sloppy initial work. The gutters were installed by one man to a three story area with no scaffolding. As we watched him, (one man on a ladder with no assistance), asked if he could see over gutter well enough when it appeared he was feeling his way to place and secure it, later sharing with us disturbing personal things and asking for money. 3rd, Two man crew who came to continue to try to correct installation issues, further caulked/patched up the gap obvious gaps between gutter and house base, said it was a bad job and didn't know if they would help the situation but contractor had called them to see if they could.  This crew also took the liberty to dump a pile of scrap iron (that didn't come from our project) behind our house for later pick up and did not move it til we demanded them to do so. 4th crew, also coming to do patchwork on a brand new installation, seemed expert enough. He was there to add shingles to the edge of the roof after they discovered that the water was not draining into the gutters, but going behind (something that should have been noticed before or even during the gutters being installed). Came home one day to find one of the two-man crew, sleeping on back porch. Even the things like the small deck rebuild and dormer work was done with unprofessional results.  Was told that point of water intrusion was chimney flashing, which I was told via email that the problem was corrected, yet there is still water intrusion. Yes, we have an old home, but we hired what we thought were professionals to help to make it better, and not only for outside appearance.5.    House near our home shown to contractor was only to sample the type of closure desired for the project installation. Ludicrous to think it would be exact. It was a total rehab.  We've not been in this house for 19 years.6.    As far as being intense. See nothing wrong with being detailed oriented, very observant and aware of issues from the start, especially when paying top dollar to what is advertised as a professional company. As things were documented and pointed out, we were told only time and time again that everything would come together in the end. It was not. For example the very issue I brought to their attention pertaining to a dip at the front of the house on day one of gutter installation, is causing a leak to our interior second floor front room, revealing a problem that’s not seen from the outside (see attached). Also, after rain, water is not flowing but standing at the front and sides of the house in the gutters due to water not flowing properly to the downspouts (see attached). 7.    No we did not pay the final invoice because we were there the whole time and know that the contract was not honored, work was poorly executed and we were and are not satisfied. Contract called for half of total at start and remainder when they were done. However 2 weeks after project finally began, we were asked for $2,000, which we provided, then a few weeks later asked for another installment, which we refused to pay. 8.    Though he tried very hard to clean up issues, we were not expecting to pay thousands for shabby work and even more problems. When heavy rains come there is water intrusion from badly installed gutters and maybe what was and was not installed before installing the gutters. We were told that there should have been some material placed over the wood and behind the gutters, but nothing was installed there. We have what we feel is a greater problem and WILL have the expense of correcting, if possible or redoing for total assurance, especially with sloping issues of the gutters. The only gutter that empties completely is on the rear of the house where the downspouts are located. Per last conversation with contractor, “we should use the remaining money to get our problem fixed.”  One estimate we’ve received specifies that there needs to be flashings9.    Any distant pictures sent by the contractor for proof of the work are not a true close-up representation of what is considered a complete and professional job. We're sure you can't see all the caulking nor the missing materials behind the gutters and the present water intrusion. 10. We have attached some pictures to show the true quality of the project from a different view and will send more via email since this only allows for 4 pictures.  Sending in a separate email to the Revdex.com. We also have every email, text, and picture communicated during this stressful process with additional documentation.
