USA Checks Cashed

Review: I took out a pay day advance with USA Checks Cashed on Broadway in downtown San Diego, CA. I have taken out multiple pay day loans with the company and I have been able to pay them back. However I lost my job and I was supporting 2 people on 1 income and I was unable to pay the most recent loan. I recently just gained new employment and I let USA Checks know of the situation and they were unwilling to work with me to resolve the matter and I feel like they are harassing me by calling me at work and leaving me multiple voicemails at work and on my cell phone. When I return their calls they are very rude to me and actually got into a shouting argument with me and threatened to sue me on several occasions.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to stop contacting me at work and stop threatening to sue me. I would like to come up with a payment schedule that I can afford to pay so that I can alleviate the situation.

Response:

We did initially attempt to contact [redacted] when his check returned unpaid on December 11, 2013. He did not notify us prior to the check return that he had lost his job. We offered to allow him to break the amount into 4 payments. [redacted] said on December 27, 2013 that he would be in on January 6, 2014 to make his first payment. When he did not call or visit on January 6th, We did attempt to contact him. We left messages, but he did not return our calls. We also sent him our standard notice of returned item letters via mail (3 letters). On January 16th, [redacted] called the store and told them that he had filed a complaint with the Revdex.com. The store was directed to discontinue contacting [redacted] and his account was closed.
