Review: Below is a summary of the problems I have incurred with USA Moving Services:I initially received a quote for $897, which was reduced to $787 when I booked the move only to be told by the driver that the total for the trip was now $3,000 after he packed the truck. There was no mention of this type of delay in my contract, and when I called Customer Service the first day, 9/**/2013, I was told I could expect them within two days. I called back on 9/** at their request, and left a message. I did not receive a reply, so I called again on 9/** and was told to call back a few hours later. When I called back, I was told that the truck broke down in Connecticut shortly after it picked up my items, and they had no idea when the truck would be fixed. I was told to call back to check on the status. I left a message for the manager, [redacted] to call me back, but did not receive a call. I spoke with [redacted], explained the change in rate and the delivery delay and was told that the sales representative, [redacted], who initiated the contract had left the company and no one had checked her emails or voicemails.I called on 9/** and spoke to [redacted] who indicated that the truck had left Connecticut and was going to be reloaded in New Jersey, leaving on Sunday to deliver my furniture on 9/**. She offered to confirm this if I called her on Sunday. When I did, the manager [redacted] indicated there was another delay with the truck and that I should call on Monday to confirm.I called this morning and was told that the truck was being loaded in New Jersey today but that they had no idea when the furniture would arrive. I was told that they do not guarantee delivery which seems contrary to the idea of hiring a professional moving companDesired Settlement: I made a good faith effort to describe the items being transported, including a physical description of the space. The quote indicates that it is a 'binding quote' and I believe the price I was quoted should be enforced- especially due to the delays. I also feel there is a reasonable expectation by consumers that their goods will be delivered - and there are contingency plans for things like trucks breaking down. I would like to receive my household items within the next two days.
