05/23/17Dear Sir/Madam: In response to your letter dated 05/22/17, the patient ordered glasses with progressive lenses which were dispensed on 09/13/16. The patient returned and complained that the glasses did not work well for her computer use. We remade the lenses at no...

charge with an adjusted bifocal measurement in an attempt to improve her mid-range (computer) functionality by raising it 1.5mm. We explained the spatial requirements for progressive lenses used for computer viewing. The patient returned again and complained that she was still having dif?culty with computer use. At her request and based on her computer screen viewing distance, we remade the lenses again at no charge as lined bifocals to be used for mid-range (computer) and near viewing only. Distance vision would be blurry because the last pair of eyeglasses was specially designed as computer over near bifocal. This second  remake was dispensed on 11/04/16. We heard nothing more from the patient since the second remake until receipt of your letter. Note that H. S[redacted], owner/manager, dealt with this patient for both of these remakes.The statement that the owner is not available is not factual. We do not offer any refund to this patient.Sincerely,H. I am rejecting this response because:------- Forwarded message ----------From: [redacted]<[redacted].com>Date: Fri, Jun 9, 2017 at 2:38 PMSubject: Re: ComplaintTo: [redacted] Yes I would like to add and edit.  I did not explain myself fully I was upset and rushed.   I cannot get a full time office job and I work part time as a receptionist and can only do things for 5 or 10 minutes at a time due to the glasses.  Switching between progressive and lined bifocals are giving me headaches and straining my eyes as well.  The staff at USA Eyecare are the most unprofessional and unfriendly group of office staff I have ever encountered.  I should of read the reviews on this place before I went because most of them say the same thing I am saying.  They tried to tell me "I didn't make sense" and basically called me a liar.  The owner did call me and wanted to argue and tell me what I was saying wasn't true.  All I want is my money back at this point.  It's very hard to see I'm constantly squinting and I cannot afford a new pair at this time.    It will not break them to refund me or at this point I am willing to take $250 towards new glasses I may be able to borrow the rest. Well I never received anything other than the initial email stating that I had filed the claim.  The people he has working there are rude and apparently liars.  They did remake the glasses but I feel they got "tired" of me so started putting me off.  Oh well, word of mouth does wonders.  I do feel this isn't right.  I can't be on a computer for very long because I get headaches and therefore cannot take an office job at this time. [redacted]Middletown, PA
