During the first time that I was unable to pick up my car, I had to request someone to drive me to "USA Towing" on 09/01/This required money and time wasted because I paid that individual for his helpI am currently a first year medical student at VCU Medical SchoolThe following day on 09/02/2016, I had a panel of Down Syndrome patients come into our medical school, and I required a car to go to school, which I was unable to doI had to subsequently get someone else drive me again, and I had to waste more money on thatNormally, I would have been able to drive myself and save that extra time, distress, and money. Because of the unprofessional manner in which the company had not had anyone staffed during working hours until 8pm on 09/01/2016, which was what I was told my Willy, I had to spend extra time and money outside of my professional development as a future physicianI am requesting to be compensated in the time and money that I lost and I do not believe it is fair that my far was towed for its full price. If necessary, I am able to provide a copy of my medical school curriculum/schedule for proof as to the events I had on 09/02/2016, which were affected during the time I did not have my vehicle

Requested information for case ID [redacted]2007 Jeep [redacted] 4WD Towed from The [redacted] guest parking spot located at [redacted] St. [redacted], Va [redacted]

This company is little better than a leech, preying upon actual productive members of the Richmond community. They tow with little to no regard to legality, and when presented with evidence that they have made a mistake, refuse to do anything about it until you pay the ransom for your vehicle. On top of this, they refuse to accept major credit cards during normal business hours, which is a violation of local law.

Revdex.com spoke with[redacted] from the business. In order to look into this complaint the business needs the time the vehicle was towed and the type of vehicle that was towed.

Willy provided Revdex.com a response to this case. The spot in questions requires a parking pass for anyone to park in that spot. The visitor to the lot did not have a visitors pass or a residents pass on the vehicle and so the tow process was begun. The customer was not towed after paying a fee, but...

without a pass on the vehicle the business was within the rights of the lot of tow.

Revdex.com spoke with Willy from the business. This customer was only charged for the two not the storage because there was an issue with picking up the vehicle.

Revdex.com spoke with Willy from the business. This customer's tow was done because she was parked in a no parking area, this tow has been paid for and was paid with a credit card.

Review: On Tuesday evening, my car was parked in the parking lot of [redacted] for under 1 hour. No one from those places called to ask for my car to be towed, and I was well within the time limit. Not many cars were in the parking lot. The gentleman I spoke to at USA Towing stated that no one had called him to tow my vehicle. When I was clearly under the time limit, and no one called to have my vehicle towed, why does that give him the right to randomly pick a vehicle? On top of that, the gentleman, who did not clearly state his name, would not allow me to pay with any other option then cash, and would not have the car delivered to the location I requested, as that "was not a valid address". When speaking to the company on the phone today, I received the same gentleman at the other end of the line, who told me that if I could not read a sign about towing that "God help me because you're not gonna get far in life".Desired Settlement: I request that the towing charge be rescinded, with the sum of $125 returned to me. USA Towing should not feel that they have the right to go pick a car out of a parking lot at random when they have no proof that it was there for more than an hour, or if the person there was not a customer at that location.

Response:

Revdex.com spoke with[redacted] from the business. In order to look into this complaint the business needs the time the vehicle was towed and the type of vehicle that was towed.

Review: On the Friday the 2nd of January 2015, my car was towed from the street ouside o[redacted] in a zone for designated church activies (sign saying NO PARKING DURING CHURCH ACTIVITES). The church failed to post mention of the activity on their website or board of events. A sign posted less than 24 hours prior was the only recognition (it was posted on New Years Day no less.)

My complaint though is not against the church but the tow company they contract for their parking lot, USA Towing. I doubt USA towing has jurisdiction to tow from the street, as that is exclusively [redacted] towing right (they were the first company I contacted, and if it had been the case that they had towed my vehicle, I would no be filing a complaint.) Nor did USA file report with the police. I contacted the police lockup, they had no record of my vehicle being towed.

The next day as I was walking around, because at this point I had begun questioning if I actually parked it at aforementioned location, I noticed a sign in the church's private parking lot for USA towing whom I contacted. The individual, whom I assume is the only employee of this "company," lied. According to him, he HAD contacted the police to mention the tow. The only charges he mentioned was the price ($125) for the tow and a "processing fee", ($35). At this time I had been out of work for a month and just starting a new job. By the time I had gotten paid, with the intend of paying this $155, he mentioned there was a storage fee of $35 a day, and that I now owed him near $1,000. I did some research and the maximum he can legally charge for storage and tow is $500!

Lie after lie after lie is all I got from "USA towing," so I realized higher arbitration was necessary to set things straighDesired Settlement: My bill ought to be nothing, and my vehicle ought to be returned to me.
