Review: USB Moving called to give me a quote on my move. I spoke with Dana who told me I would be charged $109 per hour. She informed me that the time started when they got to my apartment and started loading to the time they finished unloading the truck at my storage unit. She also informed me that I would get a prorated price if they ended within one of the hours. The storage unit from my apartment was 10 minutes away. I live in a 1 bed room apartment. I had all my belongings packed in boxes and my furniture taken apart to load. All the movers had to do was load the truck just as my furniture was when they got there. They proceeded to over wrap my heavy furniture with plastic wrap and tape. They started at 1:30pm and finished at 3:51pm which is approximately 2.5 hours. The movers charged me 3 hours for moving plus 2 hours for their travels. Once again it is $109 per hour. They also charged me $353 for packing fees (wrapping my couches and bed room set). The final total was $987. I made a deposit of $50 when I made the reservations. My balance was $937. When I made the reservations I was never informed that I would be charged travel and packaging. I was only told that the price was $109 per hour. I spoke with the manager, Joseph, and he informed me that he would look at the bill and we would handle the amount the next day. Five minutes later I was charged over 900 dollars from my bank account. I was not charged the amount that was quoted to me which should be approximately $273. Joseph brought the amount to $700. I did not want to pay this amount either because that was not the price quoted to me by his employee Dana. Joseph then sent me a complaint form which asked me to describe my complaint again. On this complaint form it also had a section for me to give my debit card information. I did not fill out this form because I did not want this company to have my bank information again. This matter was never resolved due to how Joseph was handling the situation.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $714. I was given a quote and the business did not go through with what they had told me. I should have only paid $273. I was told by their employee Dana that I would be charged $109 per hour and it would be prorated. She did not tell me about traveling or packaging fees.
