Customer bought a car from us on 8/15/2015.  Car was sold for 7499 as stated at monthly payments of 273.39 which included the cost of the service contract.  Customer signed 4 separate documents...

showing the additional cost of the service/gap contracts. Including a pre-contract disclosure which outlines all the optional goods and services being purchased.  Also noted on the pre-contract disclosure are the monthly payments including and excluding the optional goods and services.  Customer even acknowledged that it was a good thing to have the coverage.
It was agreed upon that she will defer $600 of down payment into two payments 2 weeks apart so that her payments will be under $275.
The deferred down payments as well as the service contract and gap insurance were explained to Ms. [redacted] in several documents including the retail sales installment contract.  Every signature was preceded by an explanation of what she was signing.
Everyday UCM and Gold acceptance tried contacting Ms. [redacted] to finalize her loan.  Which included doing a customer interview with the finance company and verifying her references.
We were unable to contact Ms. [redacted] and resorted to contacting reference that she provided us to help us get in touch with Ms. [redacted]. We had little success but a reference did imply she was out of the country and to be weary of Ms.[redacted].  Numerous of attempts have been also made to contact family members but to no avail.  They would pick up the phone then hang up and proceed to screen calls from UCM.
We did not hear from Ms. [redacted] until 8/29/2015 which happened to be the date when the first deferred down payment was due.  She let us know then that she did not want the additional service contract and gap insurance.  She also stated that she was not going to pay the deferred down payments.
Even after, we were willing to help out Ms. [redacted] stay in the vehicle but she would not return calls and kept avoiding issue.  We later found out through references, employment, and the finance company that Ms. [redacted] has indeed taken the vehicle out of the country and has been living there for a period of time.  Still, attempts were made to rectify the situation but were met with the same outcome.
UCM put the vehicle out for repossession to be picked up when and if ever it was back in the states.
Car was located and picked up by a repossession company.
No contact has been made since.

Dear Ms. [redacted]:
This letter responds to the above-referenced Complaint filed by Ms. [redacted]. Sunny Hills
Auto Sales ("Sunny Hills") is a used car dealership located in Fullerton, CA, that offers a variety of
inventory and financing options for its...

customers.
Regarding the Complaint, Ms. [redacted] purchased the vehicle from Sunny Hills with an auto loan
financed by Sunny Hills on October 16,2013. Shortly thereafter, Ms. [redacted] defaulted on her auto
loan. Sunny Hilts attempted to contact Ms. [redacted] numerous times by telephone, but did not hear
from Ms. [redacted] until several weeks after Sunny Hills repossessed the vehicle. Ms. [redacted]
should contact Zane Investigations at [redacted] regarding the personal property she left in the vehicle.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
