I am rejecting this response because: I reject the notion that all options were explored with the customer; throughout the call, the option that their service was something I could do on my own, without their assistance or paying them, was never given or explored, not even when I voiced concerns over the amount of money it would cost to use their serviceI understand that they are a business and are within their own right to make profits so the owners and employees earn money for everyday living, however, they also claimed to be a not-for-profit while on the phone and liked helping people save moneyIf either of these claims were true, why was it hidden that I could go to [redacted] and fill out the paper work by myself and for free? After all, they claimed to be a non-for-profit trying to save people money Further research shows there are a good number of businesses such as this one that call students about their debt and attempt to profit off being a middle-man between the loan-borrower and Deptof EducationUsually this entails such things as trying to get student social security #s and avoiding any mention that loan consolidation can be done for free through the Deptof EducationI do not appreciate High-pressure salesmanship and promises of saving me money, when in reality my options were not shown

I apologize that you feel you where mislead.  We do our best to communicate with our clients there options and fill out the paperwork for our clients so that they can get the best payment

Review: This company called me up saying it was working with the Dept. Education to help curb student debt, and sounded like they really wanted to help me save money by consolidating my Federal Loans; they heavily insinuated that they had special connections to get this deal through, but they did not share these are services ANYONE can do on their own, for free, by going to [redacted]; though they did want my social security number and birthdate at one point (didn't give) and wanted to charge me hundreds of dollars for their service. I quickly conducted research on loan consolidation while on the phone. The service rep was pressuring me into making the decision right then and there. Want to really press this point: They wanted my confidential information to use to log into the US Government's loan service website, they FAILED to properly inform me of the actual forms you can use on [redacted] that are FREE, claimed to be a non-profit, and basically mis-leading me on the nature of Federal student loan consolidation and how to actually save myself money in the long run, and wanted to charge me something like $300 for this service (Supposedly, by coincidence, it was a special this week only, $100 off, so it's regularly $400).Desired Settlement: They claimed in an email that they are legit and "work with" the Revdex.com to prove their legitimacy; I just hope that when they try to email somebody else, there is a comment that informs this other person that no, you don't have to pay anybody to get what this company is promising. You actually can fill out these forms yourself and do it for free. This company will try to hide that.
