The reason for the 10-day hold is stated beiow:
The Member Service Rep/Assistant Manager have been with USSCO since 2009, and have always been professional with our membersOur employees are instructed to follow policy and procedures for all transactionsSince the member had very low deposit balances at the time of presentment of check, the teller stated to the member that a 10-day hold would be requiredThe member at that time took check from teller and left the officeThe member provided no further details as to the "background" of the situation, 401k distribution, etcthat would have been further reviewed by the Member Service Repat the time of presentmentAny further questions, please contact me at ###-###-####

Review: Today 7-16-14, I went into the Credit Union to deposit a check that I received from my 401k plan, The check was from Citibank, I ask the teller to deposit it into my checking account she took the check gave me a funny look and said it will be held for 10 days I ask if she was joking she snickered and said no! I ask for the check back she snickered again and said have a nice day, There is no possible reason to hold the check for 10 days, The same teller did this to me over a month ago with a postal Money Order, I feel that I am being singled out and treated unfairly.Desired Settlement: I just feel that other people should know what they are dealing with, I am off work due to a surgery and had to withdraw from my 401k to pay bills and just to live until I return to work and for no good reason this teller doesn't like the way I look or what ever reason want to make my life harder than what it needs to be, I have been a member of this Credit Union for many years.
