After my renewal, the monthly subscription rate increased, so they shortened my subscription length from months to months and one week
For the past several years, I have been renewing my subscription to The Advocate, account number XXXXXX, for a period of months in advance each timeDuring the first part of July, I received an invoice dated 6/29/This invoice gave the subscription rates for two months, three months, six months and twelve monthsThe rate stated on the invoice was $for three monthsAccording to the invoice, my account was good through 7/24/2017, the day that the expiration date normally falls onI immediately had my bank mail a check for $61.23; this check cleared the bank on July 13, which was well in advance of the expiration dateBy paying the amount stated on the statement for a month subscription, I expected my next renewal date to be 10/24/On 9/2/2017, I received an email advising me to renew my subscription; the email stated that my

I was promised delivery of the newspaper by 6:00am At least to days a week there is no paper by 6:20am when I leave for work
Paper was promised by 6:00am each morning At least to days a week it is being delivered way past 6:20am (when I leave for work) I have complained several thousand times via email but my pleas of better customer service and promised delivery time have been have ignored I have asked for credit because the missed papers and can not see where this has happened
When you are promised a product at a certain time you expect to get it
Everyone that I talk to has their paper delivered or in the morning - why is mine always late Even streets over (not my delivery person) have their paper when I leave so it is not a printing issue

Attached please find a letter addressed to my dad regarding the Advocate's attempt to charge his credit card for a newspaper subscription As of the August flood, my dad and mom have not resided at their home because their home flooded, and they lost basically everything that they owned They are and years old, and they are still not in their home
When I read the attached letter, I called the Advocate on Tuesday, July 12, and spoke with a young lady named *** I asked her why the Advocate would continue to charge my dad's card being well aware that the residence flooded You had to know that it was flooded because your route driver was well aware that he/she could not get to the residence due to the flood water in August 2016, and when your driver returned to the residence after the flood waters receded, they could see that all of the homeowner's belongings were out on the street What reasonable person of ordinary prudence in a similar circumstance

Your delivery service to outlining areas is deplorable
For the last months or more we have experienced terrible delivery service We call and report and nothing is being done about it We are told to go to the local grocery store to purchase a paper We don't have a local grocery store We have not received a Sunday paper for atleast month Not only are we out of the $but also we are paying $more to have someone in Port Allen purchase the paper for us Sometimes we are given the same paper two days in a row Explain that please Sometimes we are only given 1/of the paper I don't think The Advocate is taking these complaints seriously We are all at our wits end We have signs at the end of our driveways telling the carrier that we are subscribers and still nothing As I write this at 10:00am I am still waiting for my newspaper This is ridiculous

cannot get my news paper delivered to my house
no one is taking care of my problem that I can,t get my news paper delivered to my house and the people I spoke to on the phone many many times and the times I use their automated system to report no paper delivery still I don,t get my paper I want someone to call me from the news paper and tell me whats going on there

Cancelled my subscription on December 29th because they raised the cost twice in monthsMy subscription ended on Jan 2nd and they kept sending paperReceived a phone call on Jan 15th to renew my paper told them it was cancelled as of Jan 2nd and bill was paid in fullthey advised me since they were still delivering paper I now owed $for those papersI paid the $on Jan 15thand I did not owe that bill that is there problem
