Based on the customer's complaint as "there is no such thing as gel
powder", we attached in this letter the picture of a product we use, labels "Crystal GEL POWDER" for verification
It was the first time the customer came to our shop and she had allergic reaction to fake nails beforeThe products were presented to the customer. Our manager specifically told the customer that he wasn't sure if the customer is allergic to the powder we have and it was 100% up to her to decide whether she wants to go on and have it appliedThe customer then said "It's fine we can do it, if anything she will use acetone and remove it at home." There are types of powders presented to her at the salon and she chose to go with the one that she's wearing on her nails right now. I want to emphasize that we left the choice up to the customerIf she has doubt based on the fact that she is a cosmetologist, she could totally refuse the service and it was completely fine with usThere was no pressure putting on herShe left us a voicemail saying that she was having allergic reaction and her nails were burning but did not show us her nails but instead demanded us to mail the money to herWe have the voicemail as evidence
As for the sanitary part in her complaint, our salon has had surprised visits from the state board and we passed every single inspection
If you have any further question please contact us
We had phone conversation with this customer on the phone but she repeatedly calling us liar and giving us threats of what she would do to usWe don't feel comfortable receiving threats therefore as for now phone conversation with this customer is being prohibited by us and everything has to be in writing now for future legal purposesAll documentations will be used to support our law suit against her for wrongfully accuse us with no solid evidence if necessaryWe have no intention to escalate this issue and we just want to protect ourselves
Our attorney has reviewed all documentations and evidence and is ready to move forward with this case if necessary
Thank you

On The evening of December 23 my daughter and I had manicure and pedicure services to the tune of $100 (I paid additional for a "french manicure"). The next day as running errands for the holiday I notices my nails were all chipped so I ran back in to the salon. They took me and "fixed" my polish. I was grateful! The following day (Christmas Day) I was on an airplane heading out of town and looked down, only to notice my nails chipped up yet again. Understanding Utopia would be closed I thought notifying them asap was in everyone's best interest so I called, leaving a detailed message, explaining that I would be out of town until after the first of the year, along with my phone number. I heard nothing.
When I got settled back in town (16 days later) I contacted Utopia, explained the back story and the girl asked "When would you like to come in?" I stated I am flexible any day after 4:00...She said "How about tomorrow at 4:30?" Great, see you then was my reaction. In our conversation she said she was unsure if they would fix my nails after the length of time that had passed. I told her being that the circumstance really happened within a 24 hour time frame, I couldn't imagine that there would be a problem, but if there was please have someone contact me. AGAIN, not a word all day!
4:30 came, I checked in to "Have my nails fixed", tipped my girl, stopped at the desk, checking we were all set, just to have the girl tell me I owed for my manicure. To say I was shocked was an understatement! Again reiterated to the girl the circumstances that brought me in and to have someone call me if there was a problem.
Low and behold, about 1 1/2 hours later I did receive a call from the owner, who upon my answering my phone let it be known to me that he has on "surveillance camera" me leaving his salon without paying and I had 24 hours to pay or he was turning it into the police! WOW! I tried with all my power to calmly go over the sequence of events but he refused to listen. He only repeated that it had been 3 weeks and it was not guaranteed. I explained to the best of my ability that it had NOT been 3 weeks but a 24 hour period, I left a message and my number, he was not interested.
I was treated with such disrespect and rudeness like never before. And over a $15 manicure (I paid $20 for my French the first time), I was in disbelief! I am at a loss to say the least. I clearly can see that the owner of this business is a loose cannon and do not want to chance my reputation over such ridiculousness so I guess I will be forced to pay for terrible service. I will say clearly I will never head back!
