Review: On June 23, 2014, Uwchlan Appliance Repair sent a technician from [redacted] to my home to repair a [redacted] washing machine that had a drain issue. I was charged $55 for the service call and an additional $225 for the repair. The repair did not work. I called the next day and they came out again and did exactly the same thing. I was told if the repair didn't work the second time I may need a new control board. The repair did not work again but I was told a new control board would take 5 business days to come in. With a family of 6 and a weekly visit to the laundry mat, we were not willing to take the risk of the $500+ repair not working either. I told them they could come back and retrieve their part or take the entire unit if they wanted because we needed to get a new washing machine that would be delivered within a day instead of a part that could take more than a week. I was not charged sales tax and was told to write the check to "[redacted]". I have called over 17 times with absolutely no resolve. I have been told every time the phone answers that the service manager will call me back. The customer service woman told me she would lose her job if she gave me his telephone number or his last name. All she was willing to say was I will receive a call from a man named Mike. It has been 5 weeks and I still have not heard anything from anyone. When I tried to call Uwchlan Appliance Repair they simply told me they try to handle the situations on their own but are often unable to. I explained this same story and was told "I will pass this on to my superiors". I have no energy left.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back. No repair was made, no problem was solved. I was charged a $55 fee for the diagnostic testing which apparently did not diagnose the actual problem and $225 for a repair that did not fix the problem. I also spent $85 on the laundry mat while waiting for the correct repair but am not trying to be greedy. I would like a $280 refund. I would also like others to be warned that this company is not on the up and up. Thanks!
