Dear Sir:Ms [redacted] cancelled her ride minutes before it was scheduled The policy is hours notice The weather was not bad, there was no snow predicted until the next morning When there is a snow event, we have called our customers to give them leeway to cancel late if they feel uncomfortable traveling in bad weather But, we do this as a courtesy only, and only in the case of weather that is considered dangerous or in the event that GRTC has cancelled or reduced their service In this case, there was no weather event; the roads were dry; no snow was predicted; and GRTC was running a schedule When Ms [redacted] called, our Customer Service Reps tried to explain to her that a driver was dispatched and therefore would need to be compensated something for his timeWe are certainly sorry that we could not better accommodate her needs However the hour cancellation policy has always been in effect for the Care-On-Demand program Thank you for your consideration.Patricia F [redacted]

Dear Sir:Ms. [redacted] cancelled her ride 45 minutes before it was scheduled.  The policy is 2 hours notice.  The weather was not bad, there was no snow predicted until the next morning.  When there is a snow event, we have called our customers to give them leeway to cancel late if they feel uncomfortable traveling in bad weather.  But, we do this as a courtesy only, and only in the case of weather that is considered dangerous or in the event that GRTC has cancelled or reduced their service.  In this case, there was no weather event; the roads were dry; no snow was predicted; and GRTC was running a normal schedule.  When Ms [redacted] called, our Customer Service Reps tried to explain to her that a driver was dispatched and therefore would need to be compensated something for his time.
