Initial Business Response /* (1000, 15, 2016/07/19) */
Mr*** did enter our business on Saturday April 2nd At exactly 1:PM we finished writing him a ticket for a demo hammer and chiselHe chose to rent the machine for four hours, making the machine due back to our store by 5:PMWe
ARE OPEN UNTIL 5:PM AS THE TICKET CLEARLY SHOWS AT THE TOP OF THE CONTRACT SIGNED BY MR***(IN MULTIPLE PLACES)
MR*** ALLEDGES HE WAS TOLD THAT IF HE SHOWED UP WHEN WE OPENED ON MONDAY WE WOULD WORK with him on his rentalHe then states that he only returned the equipment at 11:AM and not 7:Am when we actually opened on MondayHowever, the contract is date stamped when he came in at 11:AM on Monday(HE WAS OVER FOUR HOURS LATER THAN WHAT HE STATES HE AGREED TO IN HIS OWN COMPLAINT!)
I attempted to resolve this matter with Mr*** when we received notice that he had filed a charge backAs I tried to explain to him why he was charged extra money he became very belligerent and threatened to "kick my ***."
Today after being informed that Mr*** had filed a complaint with the Revdex.com I again tried to contact himHe called back and after stating several times that we had no right to use his credit card, he denied my offer to go over the contract he signed with us and AGAIN hung up
I will attach the signed contract to this comment
Please note paragraph and Also immediately below his signature is the language "WE CHARGE FOR ALL TIME OUT INCLUDING SATURDAYS SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS"
Sincerely,

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 21, 2016/08/04) */
I, *** ***, received a letter from the Revdex.com where General Rental is indicating
that I walked into his business at 1:PMI asked for a type of equipment and I
was shown different sizesAt the time I asked for the smallest type of equipment
from the different sizes he hadHe then opened the case and showed me the
smallest out of the three he hadI then told him I would rent the smallest one
During this time there was a person in front of me wanting to rent or pay for rental
equipmentThen the General Rental man indicated that at 1:PM he finished my
contract for the rentalThen he rented me the eqipment for $for hours
There is no proof that he ticketed me at 1:PMWe just have his wordHe is
trying to display himself as a no fault incident for a response to the Revdex.com
The Revdex.com sent me his response letter to the Revdex.comI received the Revdex.com letter and the
letter says at the bottom that a contract had been sent along with the letter he
wrote to the Revdex.comBut, when I recieved the Revdex.com letter there was no contract
enclosed
Also, the contract was not done for me at 1:PMOn the phone he told me he had
me on video showing the time I entered his businessI don't beleive that this is
true as the Revdex.com did not send me anything that said he did have videoAlso, I
beleive that he did not finish writing my contract at 1:PMI disagreeI
entered his business at 1:PM and it took about minutes for him to rent me the
equipmentSo that would make the contract done at about 1:PMAnd he rented it
to me for hoursHe then informed me that he closed at 5:PMSo I told him
that I couldn't have the equipment back within hours because it would make it at
5:PMBut, then he told me verbally that I could bring the equipment back on
Monday and then we could resolve thingsHe didn't mention what time to bring it
back
I then came in Monday to return the equipment at about AMI approached the
counter and told the lady I was returning the equipmentThen she responded to me
and said, "Let's see how much you owe us." Then she told me that I owed them
$I said I disagree because I needed to talk to the man who made the verbal
agreement with me SatafternoonThen she said he wasn't thereThen she said I
needed to pay themThen I said I would not pay until I spoke to himShe then
came from behind the counter and pointed at the door and told me to get out of the
store and that I wasn't welcome there anymoreIf I did come back there, she said
she would call the lawSo I left the store then
I was expecting his call the next day to come to the store and resolve the matter
But, no call cameSo I just went on and one day I checked my bank balance and
found it was low and some funds were missingThen I called the bank and asked them
if there were any large withdrawls from my bank accountA man told me there was a
charge for $from General RentalI then told my bank I did not approve that
transactionThe bank then told me to go to the bank and file a dispute or

without my approvalHe kept calling me and kept bothering me with his phone calls
So I called the Revdex.com and told them that he was bothering meThe Revdex.com told me to
call him and try to resolve the matter
Then I went to my bank and learned that he had sent his response to the bank ct5fee-a
responding to the dispute that I had filed against his businessThe bank ag e
with him and denied my disputeSince he already had the funds I thought everything
was overBut, he kept calling me to come to his store to resolve the matterIf I
didn't resolve the matter he would file a complaint against me to the credit
collection bureauAt this time I considered myself to be a middle class citizen
I am on social security and that large of a withdrawal really affected me
I feel that this is the end of the matterI also feel that I have been defrauded
According to the law regarding defrauding I feel that I have been defrauded by
deceit to trick a person in order to get moneyAlso, to cause injury or a loss to
a person
Please advise me after you have a response from this rebuttal letter from the business
Final Business Response /* (4000, 27, 2016/08/12) */
General Rental Center has been doing business since We are a family owned business that employs over peopleThe Revdex.com will be hard pressed to find any business in Southwest Missouri with a better track record We feel we charged the customer an appropriate amount based upon the time he kept the equipmentI have offered to sit down with him and go over the ticket and video of him renting the equipment several times and this seems to cause him to get even more upset
In his own complaint he states he was told to bring back the equipment at the time we openedIn his own complaint he states he did not do so
We strive to make all our customers feel appreciated and that they are treated fairlyHowever, in light of Mr***'s continued threats and failure to look at the contract he signed with us, we are at a loss as to how to take care of him
If you require any additional information on this matter I would be happy to provide it to you
Sincerely,

At 12:PM on August 10th *** *** entered our store on Kansas ExpresswayHe stated he heard a noise and believed that an
employee mowing the yard had hit is Avvo with a rock while mowing
He stated that it happened after he had dropped off/picked up a package at a mailbox store and brought a receipt indicating the time he had been to the store prior to the time that the accident had supposedly happenedHe was asked why he didn't notify us immediatelyHe stated that after he was hit by the rock he went to the libraryHe parked his car, got out and inspected the vehicle for damageHe stated he saw no damage so he went into the library, logged on to a computer for several hoursWhen he left the library he inspected the vehicle for damage againAt this time he saw the damage and then came over to report it to us
We reviewed the videoThe times he said he passed did not match the times on the videoThe dent is very noticeable on his vehicleIn our opinion there is no way that a person who is inspecting a vehicle for damage immediately after believing they were struck by a lawn mower projectile could miss it
We allowed him to review the videoThere was only one bright yellow avvo that passed our store and he claimed it was not his because it was there before his timestamp from the post office
We discussed this matter with our insurance carrier and they stated they would not pay because of the issues mentioned aboveI offered in good faith to buy a touch up paint for his carHe declined
The only yellow Avvo that passed our store that morning did so at ~8:57:(Before he states that he went to the UPS store and got a time-stamped receipt.) No other yellow car passed that morning
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/11/02) */
Having received a response from *** *** on behalf of General Rental, a clarification of claims
in above stated correspondence is being addressedVideo surveillance of Kansas expressway traffic
passing by General Rental is without question incorrect and suspect with several possible explanations
as to why the integrity of the time elements have been compromised
Further stating a female employee of General Rental acknowledged as much in a phone conversation
initiated by her on September validating my time frame as being accurate for having driven by
General Rental between 9:a.mand 10:a.mon August in my Chevy AveoA claim of
mistaken reading in looking at the time frame that was made on September is clearly self-
serving in an attempt to avoid culpable liability
A receipt is in hand from a 9:a.mtransaction from the *** store on E Kearney where I went while
traveling on my way to the *** on North KansasThis coincides with the timetable for my
having driven by General Rental between 9:a.mand 10:a.mas I did in factual occurrence
Aversion of actual fact is revealed again in a claim of several hours being spent in the library before
discovery was made of the impacting harmful dent to my bright yellow Chevy AveoIn real time a
hour and a half to two hours was spent in the library
As to the actual size of the dent it measures three fourths of an inch wide and seven eights of an
inch in depthConsidering the location being under the passenger door mirror due to the trajectory of
the object from the mower, size of the dent and time of day affects, overlooking the dent upon first
glance is much more likely than an employee of General Rental reading a time frame incorrectly that is
staring back at her in bold numbers
At no time did *** *** state their insurance adjustor had denied a request for settlement In
this matterThere were comments made that he didn't think their insurance adjustor would approve it
A deciding factor is clearly accuracy of information presented to that adjustor
Reasons stated heoffer a perponderous of evidence supporting my decision to refuse and
repute the response of General RentalA company defines its business practice and reputation by the
degree of its commitment to DO THE RIGHT THING or in this case its refusal to
