I have used this company in the past and not had an issues until this yearI took in my first mower for it's annual tuand wheels replacedThey had it for over two weeks and I had to contact them to see if it was doneThey proceeded to tell me they called but there was no answerMy only number is my cell phone and they could have left message but I still had no listing of a callAnyway, the bill was around which I thought was high but took it anywayWhen I got home, I looked and the undercarriage had never even been scrapedso I did this myselfI then dropped off my second mower for a tune up and only the front wheels changedSince, the first bill was high I told them to call me if it was going to be like over Again, I checked on the mower a few times within the next two weeks and still was not readyI got a call when it was done and went to pick it upI found out the bill was because they rebuilt the carborator--I was upsetWhat was I to do since I needed my mower--I would have bought a new one for thatWithin a few days, I mowed with the second mower for the first time and before I finished my average front yard--there was smoke pouring out of the engine and smelled like it was on fireI immediately took it back to the place while it was smoking for them to look atI was upset after paying all that money and this now happensThey got it out of the truck and one man was telling me that the guy that worked on it was let go because of lying about his workSo now I wonder what kind of job was done on my mower.The older man at the desk was very rude to me and said it was probably a nest or something in the compartment that caught fire and that was not part of the work they didHe said they were not close to that area to clean itReally, it is a small lawnmower engine, everything is close! He kept it and said he would check it out--I waited like another two weeks to get it back--no phone call nothing, just me checking on itHe put it back in the bottom of all the work instead of getting it done since I had already waitedThey did not charge me, of course but nor were they nice to meAlso, when you drop off mowers with gas in them and I know they have to empty them in order to work on them, then you would think you would not get them back DRY to the boneNow about months later, the second mower is hardly working and I do not trust taking it back to them because they will only guarantee for daysThink twice before you drop the stuff offNot sure what is happening with them this year
I contacted the Absolute Small Engine part of this business after two string trimmers--one corded and one chargeable--quit in two monthsThey were my late father's, so I was unsure of their ageI had never bought oneI was just trying to get an idea from someone who does repairs what to consider, with so many types and pricesI certainly called the wrong placeThe older-sounding man who answered was rudeHe said he couldn't repair them over the phone, which wasn't what I askedThen, when I asked if the price differences were due to features or durability, he said, "You need to do some research." (Which is what I was doing.) When I said, "I just asked a simple question," he hung up on meThis differs from any such inquiry I have ever made of someone interested in their field who has the decency to take two minutes to help someone--some of whom aren't even in businessAt least I got a preview of Absolute Small EngineWhen becoming a customer lost for life, it is always best to do so before spending a dime
