Review: In 02/10 I was contacted by Vacation Max about selling my timeshare property. I was told by a [redacted] that they already had a buyer for the property - a company that was purchasing 25 properties as an investment. I then talked to [redacted] and he verified the information. Once we sent them the $2000 for closing, I had to call them every week to get updates. [redacted] repeatedly told me that they were fixing to close, but every time I called they were waiting on something. After nine months they told me the company purchasing the timeshares was waiting till January for a tax break[redacted] told me if they didn't close by February they were suing to get our money back. [redacted] kept assuring me they would refund my money. At this point I don't know who to contact or what to do to get my money refunded. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated. These companies should not be promising what they cannot deliver. I was selling because my husband is sick and we needed the money. To lie and take our money is not a way to do business.Desired Settlement: To refund the $2000 we paid when we were told they already had our timeshare sold and then kept making excuses when we didn't close.
