In July of I purchased a timeshare property with VSA ResortsWhen I tried to book a vacation at Virginia Beach in 2016, I was unable to do so My wife and I went to a VSA sales presentation on July 28th in Virginia Beach.During the presentation we told our sales rep, Rose [redacted] that we always come to VB every year in JulyWe stated that the cost of their timeshare compared to what we normally spend would be much higher and wouldn't make sense for us to purchaseAfter a long sales pitch her manager, Marcus [redacted] came to our table and said "I just got this in"He was referring to a property that was for week with XXXXX points for [redacted] maintenance fees of [redacted] every other year.Marcus and Rose explained to us that this would be perfect for us because it would give us enough points to get us a place in VB every year in July even tho it a was week it would still work for a July vacation because of the points systemSounded like a good deal and they assured

Complaint Description:
We have owned a timeshare with VSA for many yearsLast year we were offered to "trade" our unit for points by e the salesperson (***) who we of course was told no longer works thereHis sales presentation significantly misrepresented the actual productMy wife and I was told if we exchanged/upgraded our deeded week to points we would no longer be tied to the week and would pay a maintenance fee on points rather than the deeded weekHe stated our maintenance fees would not increase because we no longer would have rights to our deeded week, but would own the pointsWe purchased what we though were points for $Well one year later VSA sent us a bill to pay maintenance fees for the deeded propertyAt first when we contact VSA they told us they had no affiliation with the sales group that sold us our point

Timeshare SCAM!
I've owned my timeshare now for years and this year my maintenance fees tripled in price from my original given years ago *** every even year)My timeshare is paid off and the maintenance fees have skyrocketed from just years agoI've contacted VSA on several occasions and never get a response! I just recently was notified by the credit bureaus that I have a collections amount in the amount of *** for year in maintenance fees! This should be absolutely illegal!!

Miss-information during sale of timeshare
We purchased a points timeshare from Vacation Sales Associates (VSA) at *** *** *** in Virginia Beach on August 20, Our sales representative was aware that we were apprehensive about making a timeshare purchase at that time because we already owned two timeshares, going back more than years She was also aware that we were looking for a method to extend our points beyond just trading for lodging (Airfare, rental car, etc.) As owners and frequent timeshare traders (2-times a year), we have been through a number of sales presentations so were well aware of the process and not surprised when her manager came to the table with his "best offer"
The timeshare he offered was not something we were interested in He did however explain to us that purchasing into the VSA resort family we would become RCI "platinum elite" members I was unaware of the "platinum elite" program which he said was only available to the three VSA re
