Vacation Village Resorts Reviews (17)

I am happy to report that I recently received my $deposit from Vacation Village Resorts I was told by a representative that it was "Just a tour of the resort, it is NOT a sales pitch to purchase anything." and that "we just want to show you around, have you stay at one of the resorts, and hopefully you will want to come back and stay with us again; tell your friends about it, thus hoping they would want to vacation with Vacation Village Resorts as well." So, I paid my $deposit (refunded when we arrive) for the day/night getaway Unbeknownst to me at the time, there was much more than just a leisure tour around the facility, there would also be the typical sales presentation, of which my husband and I vowed never to attend one again Unfortunately, one really bad experience years earlier, with another company, was the deciding factor After seeing the Revdex.com reviews of Vacation Village Resorts, I immediately emailed my feelings of dismay and asked for a refund of the $I paidI explained that everything I had been told by their representative was not completely trueI also stated that we would not be taking the vacation, with or without the refund I was pleasently surprised when I received a very informative email from the Corporate Relations Manager, telling me that my refund had already been made! I was told that "my communication has already been shared with Director of our Marketing Division, that this matter has already been reviewed with the specific employee and that the employee has also been retrained on presenting information about the various products that we offer in the proper and appropriate manner." Needless to say, I was very pleased with my experience with Vacation Village Resorts I have read many negative reviews, and I felt I needed to share my positive experience All communication with Vacation Village Resorts was professional and done in a timely manner I am still blown away by the email that the Corporate Relations Manager sent me She said, "Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback concerning your recent experience with our companyPlease be assured that we take our customersâ feedback very seriously and that we regret that you were not satisfied with your experience with Vacation Village Resorts." She included a lot of informative information that was really interestingI am very pleased with the outcome of this experience I can not say enough for the courtesy, respect and attention that was given to me If my husband and I ever decide to "give it another try", I would not hesitate to contact Vacation Village Resorts Very professional Sincerely, [redacted]

VACATION VILLAGE VOYAGES is a #SCAM! The 3+ hour presentation is painful as everything they show on their website you can get online as they link to what the public can get for freeIn fact the link on their website for vacation packages does not even exist!
you can get the same or better rates on hotels, cars, airlines thru free travel websitesBe sure to check the backgrounds of the sales reps as #buyer beware!

We attended the "minute" sales presentation although we had heard it all before, but this time we were shocked by the tactics used We agreed to go in the reps car to see the property (first mistake) and were taken to local landmarks land marks first, which I suspect was to confuse usIt was very warm in with no ac running After listening to the sales pitch, and requesting the "bottom line" several times, we were taken to the resort and seated where other families were being pitched There was a "Revdex.com Accredited" sign pointed out to us, which the rep stated he was proud ofWe had no idea where we were, and were not offered anything to drink, although our rep had a bottle of water with him After three hours, we finally saw the financial information we requested, which was lowered as we said no to each offer We stayed for the entire hours to get the rewards offered, but would not recommend this to a family with children

Worst experience ever!
The sales and customer service of vacation village resort should be a case study of what not to do in business The sales staff is misleading and does not listen to customer needs and frustrations It is completely one-way communication I told the sales rep that I had to talk to my husband and might need to change my reservation When I called back within hours of the sales call and told the rep that I was unable to drive hours afterwork and make to the hotel by midnight for my reservation that was a month away, she told me that there was nothing she could do I emailed the customer service to cancel or change my reservation and received no response They charged me anyway What a fraud! Trust them only if you are looking for frustration, disappointment and anger for a vacation

This business called to solicit me for a time shareI asked to be placed on the do not call list and I am already registered on the do not call list nationallyThe rep who called called back after I asked him to stopI asked again for him to stop calling and I hung upHe called again, and I again asked him to stop callingHe then said I couldn't make him stopI hung up and he called back more timesThe harassment is unacceptable and this company should be charged $for each call after they were told to stopI called them and the 1st time I was told there were no managers available, I was put on hold and forgottenThe 2nd time I called I spoke to someone who said that they were sorry and would give my information to a manager This business has hired some of the most obnoxious unprofessional people imaginable to harass peopleI wouldn't do business with this organization if my life depended on it and I will not rest until this issue is resolved

My friend had purchased a vacation package that included a combination of nights in Ft Lauderdale, nights in Freeport Bahamas and a night going to and from the two locations on a cruise shipThere was a presentation for vacation village that we would attend in order to get the cruise vouchers to get on the shipWe arrived at 9:for our minute presentationAt 1:we were still there after having repeatedly telling them that neither of us was interestedI am diabetic and mentioned that I needed to get something to eat and the sales person told me to "go in the next room and get something to drink and then I wouldn't need to eat"! After another minutes of telling both of the sales people "no" our sales person told the other one that "I was refusing to see the value in this"The room was totally full of tables with guests and high pressure sales people, many who were being "double-teamed"At that point I looked at both of them and in a not so quiet voice told them that "they were really starting to *** me off!" My friend told them at that point that we had both told them we were not interested and we needed to go so I could get foodThey finally released us to go into another room to be offered yet another final offer then to stand in yet another line to get our vouchersWe then had to drive back to the welcome center at the Ramada and wait another minutes to get the vouchers stampedI have been on several presentations but this was by far the worst! We felt like we were being held as hostages just to get the vouchers for a trip that had already been purchased!

Horrible I paid them the 10% DOWN IN CASH wich was then let them take off my card they took the 10% off my card also after I paid them in cash I didn't catch it right away I wanted the cameras reviewed they said they did but I no they didn't or they would have seen me giving them.cash wich they say I never did also they even gave me my change back from the cash bucks every single vacation I try and book is almost or thousand more then just booking it yourself so your pretty much paying other people to look for a vacation for you I highly recommend not waste your time with this you'll b there at least to hours no matter if you buying or not I didn't even want this I already own other times shares and have no other problems but nothings ever available when u want it to be with voyages everything over priced I just tried to book a trip to Hawaii from June 29th threw July they want per person to stay at Hawaii Hilton in hondululu I went to go book at same place with air fair and car rental for all together for people same date I been trying to get ahold of cooperate any suggestions let me no

I was on vacation celebrating my partners birthdayUpon arriving to he resort we were directed to check in with the front desk for our parking permitAt this time we were offered a $gift card to attend a presentation/speech, we were also provided with lunchAutomatically we thought why not free lunch and a $visa gift card, we should have known betteralthough we were specifically told we were not being sold anythingThe following day we arrive to the presentation, everyone was so nice, and friendly initiallyNice and friendly went out the window once we continuously said no to their solicitationThe sales people became condisending, rude, and snarkyWe were only supposed to be there hour we were there hourseven though I explained time after time we were told this was not a sales pitch and it would only be an hour topsI even said its my partners Birthday and we have plansThey were in considerate and badgeringI own a time share and have never experienced anything like thisI felt like we were being preyed! Please I advise everyone to stay away from this company

This place is awful. they make many promises to you that are all lies. I was told I would be able to sell back, nope cant do that. I was told we could go refinance for a better rate, no one does that for timeshares. they are hard to use and I always feel I hit a dead end with everything I do. also I have been able to book one vacation but it was not an impressive resort at all. dont get caught up in their sales, it is just awful

My family & I have recently visited Vacation Villages at parkway,(5/22/15 to be exact) and received discounted Universal theme park tickets for doing so. The entire staff was very friendly, outgoing & knowledgeable on what they were selling, their happy go lucky attitudes definitely decreased once they realized we were not interested in purchasing anything, and were quickly rushed out to wait and catch a shuttle back to the lot our car was in. Mind you they were chauffeuring us around all morning in their own personal cars, from 930am till they dumped us out of their building around 1:30-2ish. I realize how this process works and wasn't surprised, everyone was still friendly enough & can't complain we still got our discounted tickets, which i'm sure this company buys enough theme park tickets in bulk that selling them discounted to us is actually cost for them & they aren't losing any money on that deal. However my boyfriend & our son had never been to Universal so on the last day of

Faculty is just ok. The management people are rude and condescending. I will never stay there again. I had room "A" I had a neighbor in "B". Well my neighbor smoked. Smoking is permitted on your balcony (which I think should not be allowed) anyway my neighbor didn't feel he needed to follow the rules and smoke in his room, which in turn filled my room with smelly second hand smoke and woke me up at 2 am. After 3 complaints vacation village management team decided to send security to tell my neighbor not to smoke in his room. And then handed me a bottle of air freshener. The next day on complaint #4 a manager said he would move my family to a different room. Well he was supposed to call us to let us know when room would be ready but that never happened. So I walked down to the lobby and spoke with [redacted] another manager. His solution was for me to sit in my room and when I smell the smoke to call him and he would send someone down because we couldn't prove that the man was actually smoking in his room. [redacted] explained that it could have been coming from 2 balconies over. Or the immediate solution was for me to pack 2 kids groceries etc.... And move to another room. I explained to little [redacted] that was not fair and he said nothing he can do. I explained then that my husband was now going to take care of my neighbor by shoving the cigarettes up his [redacted]. I told little [redacted] that he has to come up wit a better solution or this was gonna happen. He told me to enjoy the rest of my vacation ma'am. Well I guess little [redacted] heed my warninggs because he sent security to ask mr .[redacted] to stop smoking for the 2nd time .My husband and mr [redacted] got very close to a fight. See I warned little [redacted] that this was goin to happen. Anyway in the end I packed my family up and moved. This place is trashy with rude and unruly people! Never again. Please don't go. Trust me you will be disappointed! I have sent emails to management.

I have had an awful experience dealing with Vacation Villages salespeople and solicitors. I submitted an entry form to win a free honeymoon at a bridal show I attended (I know, bad idea). Since then I have received no fewer than 1 call each day from a Vacation Villages solicitor. When I asked the person to remove my name and number from their list she became rude and aggressive (i.e., "Well, YOU'RE the one who filled out our entry form" - verbatim). I told her "yeah but I didn't expect you to call and badger me every day". After yet another rude comment and several repeated attempts to get me to buy into their "promo" the solicitor simply hung up on me. Rude, aggressive, overbearing, high-pressure, annoying, and borderline harassing. When I asked them to remove me from their list I should have heard "alright, we can do that. thanks anyway" and that should have been the end of it.

We bought in to the Las Vegas Grandview, a Vacation Village property.. While it is a beautiful resort, and affiliated RCI offers great vacation timeshares, my concerns are growing. We were assured when paid we would then have a sellable deed to the property for the two weeks we purchased. Well, we are ready to sell and growing concerned the more we look into this. We booked a vacation on borrowed points and it was paid for and confirmed, later the Grandview called to inform us we had two weeks to pay the 700.00 maintenance fee or any pre-booked vacations would be lost ( as well as the $ paid) This crept out of nowhere and we feel we need to pay this now as we have 3 weeks of important vacations already booked. My confidence is dwindling. I am concerned to see they are not Revdex.com approved. Ah yes in the glitz and glamour, with the fast sweet talk, errors in judgement are made. We all have that dream to 'buy into' and they are counting on that dream...

My b/f booked a vacation through a company associated with Vacation village who offered us multiple false promises regarding plane tickets, excursions, etc., as well as left out other costs such as cruise fees for fuel, staff, and needing to pay taxes on pretty much everything. The buy one get one half off plane ticket promised was never followed through, the swimming with the dolphins promised in the end was taken back. When asked if they could listen to the phone recording where all this was promised, they said they delete them after 6 months. The vacation village presentation was a nightmare. We were told the presentation would be 90 minutes. This was AFTER breakfast, and did not include going to see the resorts and the time talking about costs, talking to the manager, and then one last person, each of whom offered a lower price every time we said no. This first presentation was in Fort Lauderdale. Then, we traveled to Orlando, where we were told we HAD to go to another presentation, or else we would get a bill for our hotel costs. We asked 2 people what would happen if we didn't show up since we had already attended the presentation in Fort Lauderdale, and they both said we'd be charged for the hotel. We asked how long the presentation was, and they said 90 minutes after breakfast. My b/f got this on recording on his phone so that nobody could argue. At the Orlando presentation, the woman tried taking us to breakfast right away, and I asked how long it would take b/c we were on a schedule for our day, and we were told the presentation would be 90 minutes after breakfast. She said she could not promise we would be out after that time period, because she cannot guarantee how long the speaker will talk for...!!! That's when we became agitated, we outright said we were not interested, had already attended the other presentation for 5 hours (when initially told it would be a 90 min. presentation), and will not be buying. I added my boyfriend had one of the staff members on a recording stating the presentation would be 90 minutes. Since they didn't even have a manager there yet (it was about 8:30AM), another staff member spoke with us and said it was not necessary to attend this presentation since we had already attended the other. He said by not attending this one, we just wouldn't get the trip to Las Vegas, but our hotel for this trip would still be covered. MORE TIME WASTED DUE TO LIES. Everyone told us a different story, and we found out the marketing companies get reimbursed more money if people attend more than one presentation, which is probably why they told us we HAD to go! Also, had we gotten the Vegas trip, we wouldn't have taken it since there probably would have been another timeshare presentation to go to there and a bunch of other B.S. to ruin your vacation. They do not tell you all of this as well as all the extra fees. We in the end probably didn't save anything by booking through this company... If we did save any money, the time wasted with them was NOT worth it! Just glad we did not buy after reading some horrible reviews regarding RCI and Vacation Village. There are other details as well that I didn't have time to write in this review. STAY AWAY!

Stay away! It's a disaster. The accommodations are old and outdated.. Terrible beds, no wi- fi after two full days of working with company. We got the run around and left early. Stay as far away as possible.

I am happy to report that I recently received my $75 deposit from Vacation Village Resorts. I was told by a representative that it was "Just a tour of the resort, it is NOT a sales pitch to purchase anything." and that "we just want to show you around, have you stay at one of the resorts, and hopefully you will want to come back and stay with us again; tell your friends about it, thus hoping they would want to vacation with Vacation Village Resorts as well." So, I paid my $75 deposit (refunded when we arrive) for the 4 day/3 night getaway. Unbeknownst to me at the time, there was much more than just a leisure tour around the facility, there would also be the typical sales presentation, of which my husband and I vowed never to attend one again. Unfortunately, one really bad experience years earlier, with another company, was the deciding factor.

After seeing the Revdex.com reviews of Vacation Village Resorts, I immediately emailed my feelings of dismay and asked for a refund of the $75 I paid. I explained that everything I had been told by their representative was not completely true. I also stated that we would not be taking the vacation, with or without the refund.

I was pleasently surprised when I received a very informative email from the Corporate Relations Manager, telling me that my refund had already been made! I was told that "my communication has already been shared with Director of our Marketing Division, that this matter has already been reviewed with the specific employee and that the employee has also been retrained on presenting information about the various products that we offer in the proper and appropriate manner."

Needless to say, I was very pleased with my experience with Vacation Village Resorts. I have read many negative reviews, and I felt I needed to share my positive experience.

All communication with Vacation Village Resorts was professional and done in a timely manner. I am still blown away by the email that the Corporate Relations Manager sent me. She said, "Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback concerning your recent experience with our company. Please be assured that we take our customersâ?? feedback very seriously and that we regret that you were not satisfied with your experience with Vacation Village Resorts." She included a lot of informative information that was really interesting. I am very pleased with the outcome of this experience.

I can not say enough for the courtesy, respect and attention that was given to me. If my husband and I ever decide to "give it another try", I would not hesitate to contact Vacation Village Resorts. Very professional.

We received a call from this organization that we had won a 2 night, 3 day stay at their timeshare and that there was no tour of the timeshare needed that they only wanted our family to have a great time and share that experience with family and friends. When we went to check into the Resort, we were told we had a scheduled tour the next day. When I told them that we were told that we did not have to participate in the timeshare tour, we were told that we had to and that they were a third party and we would need to take it up with them, however they were closed at the time. We are in the process of buying a new home and not in any situation to be purchasing a timeshare and that was made clear from the get go. We ended up leaving the resort since we were not going to be held hostage at the tour when we were not in the situation where we were able to purchase anything. My young son was heartbroken and crying when we left as he was expecting to stay there and enjoy the resort. Thankfully we had another place we could go to but if we had not, we would have been stuck. This company is very misleading!. Don't fall for their scam should you receive a phone call from them.
