repair ticket. Upon inspection of the unit , There was no problem with the unit and therefore we called [redacted] regarding the unit and informed her about our finding. When she came to pick up the unit, only then she mentioned that the problem with the unit was not suction but actually dispensing of the liquid. The technician told her that he would be happy to take a look at the unit again but it would require additional time. At that time she mentioned that there was an upholstery tool that was on the unit and now it was not there. The technician thought that it might have fallen on the service desk while it was being worked on and showed different tools to her. but she said that none of them belonged to her and she wants her original part back. After that she started making abusive remarks and threatened to call the police and started bad mouthing about the store to the incoming customers. After seeing her behavior, the technician refused to work on her unit anymore and told her politly that since she is not trusting the work being done on the unit at vacuum zone , she should take it to a different center and get the repair done. She refused to pick up the unit and left it there. However she came back and picked her unit after few days.if you have any further question , please do not hesitate to contact me .thanksHasan W[redacted]

Review: I was sent to Vacuum Zone by the [redacted] Vacuum Company to have my one-month old vacuum looked at as it was periodically overheating. I waited for over 3 weeks to receive a call or e-mail from the vacuum repair owner that my vacuum was ready. I finally went to the business and the owner said he had "tried" to call me. I never received a call or an e-mail (in addition, he had my name and could have looked me up in the white pages if he thought the number was wrong). When I asked about my vacuum, he said "the filter is missing" and that he could not run a diagnostic test without it. I told him the filter was present when I delivered it to him (I would not take an incomplete vacuum for repair) and that, as he never called me, I wanted my vacuum back (even though it was now missing a part). The owner claimed I owed him $25 for a diagnostic test. I said I would not pay him any money and that all I wanted now was my broken vacuum with now a missing piece. The owner called the police when I would not give him any money. I waited for the police to arrive and they said to contact the Revdex.com to get this issue resolved. The police informed me that I had to leave my vacuum at Vacuum Zone. I told the police that I would do as they said but that I feared that the owner would now take ownership of my relatively new vacuum and take it apart and sell it for or use its parts. I subsequently found out that the owner has had several bad reviews and is not honest according to one of the reviews on [redacted]. I am now out of pocket $175 for my new vacuum which is now in the possession of this business and I am seeking your help in either getting my vacuum back or receiving $175 from the owner of Vacuum Zone for the purchase of my vacuum. I do not want to have any further contact with the owner of this business and I will be contacting the [redacted] Vacuum Company and telling them not to refer any more repair business to this store.Desired Settlement: As stated above, I would like to have my vacuum sent back to me or receive $175. I do not want to have any further contact with the owner of this store.

Response:

This is in regard to the complaint of [redacted]. Customer did bring the vacuum cleaner on 05/06/2013. Customer

complained about the vacuum overheating. Initial inspection of the vacuum

cleaner revealed the missing filter. This initial inspection was done while

customer was present in the store. Customer told us that she cleaned the filter

before bringing it in and she had the filter at home. We told her to bring the

filter also so we can inspect the filter too. In the following weeks we tried to contact

the customer on the number that was provided to us on the repair tag to discuss the required repair. We left

couple of messages at [redacted]. This was the number given to us on the tag.

A copy of the repair tag is attached. On May 29th 2013, Customer stopped by the

store and inquired about the vacuum cleaner. We told her that we were waiting

for her to bring the filter that was missing when she dropped off the vacuum

cleaner. At this time, she said that filter was in vacuum cleaner when she

dropped it for repair and she would like to pick up the vacuum cleaner without

any further repair. We told her that she can pick up the vacuum cleaner but she

has to pay the initial diagnostic in the amount of 25.00. She refused to pay

the diagnostic fee and became aggressive and threatening. Police was called to prevent

any further escalation. Police informed both of us regarding some possible

avenues that can be taken to solve the matter.

We would like to mention that we are

doing business in this location for last thirteen years and take pride in

serving our customer honestly and professionally and with integrity. These qualities

have enabled us thrive even in the bad economy. We still consider [redacted]

as one of our valuable customer and want to continue doing business in future.

We have [redacted] vacuum

cleaner and she can pick it up anytime during our normal business hours by

paying the required diagnostic fee.

Please let me know if there is anything

that we can do to assist you in this matter.

Thanks,

Review: I ordered a part for a vacuum cleaner and paid $10 to a man at the counter, he had me write my name and phone number in a spiral notebook and said he would call me back within 1-2 months, that the part take a while. more than three months went by and hadn't heard anything so I went into the store. The guy at the desk, I think the owner, said he fired that guy and that I needed a receipt. I told him that he didn't give me one and that my name was probably n the little book he had in his hand with orders and that I had paid with a credit card so he probably had some type of record. He said that he fired that guy and that he couldn't do anything for me unless I had a receipt, that it wasn't his fault and that he wasn't going to see if my part was ordered or not. I explained again that I didn't get a receipt and as the owner he should want to help me, asked him what he could do and told him that it wasn't my fault the employee was gone. He said "well it is your fault you should know that you need to ask for a receipt, what are you a little child that doesn't know better and know to ask for a receipt, it is your fault", I told him he was rude and walked out of the store. He was extremely rude and non nonchalant about not even trying to help. The $10 is not the problem, he would not even look in the book past last month to see if my name was in there which I know it was.Desired Settlement: I want the $10 back because I don't want one single penny to go to a business owner that is rude.
