Review: Failed to honor room reservation and Refund

I booked a room on [redacted] for this location. Upon arriving I was told they did not have my reservation, did not have any rooms available, then sent away to find other accomodations. When I returned home I saw I was in fact charged for the room. When [redacted] investiagted with the hotel the manager [redacted] lied and said I did stay and had the audacity to give a room number, 206. I never stayed here and feel he should have to present some kind of proof that I did in fact stay there; in which he will not have...I am very concerned about their business ptactices and would not be surprised to hear of others who have had this experience.Desired Settlement: I am demanding my refund in the amount of $76.98.

This is [redacted] the owner of [redacted] located [redacted] St., Chico, CA XXXXX. In deed [redacted]'s reservation was at our place. Our record indicates that it was no show and we charged as no show using room 206. I believe it was some how communication error. We do not and will not charge anyone that she/he did not stay. I did authorize Priceline to refund her money. I am extremely sorry for any inconvenience.

It is our business to make every customer happy.

I agree with their response because it is the right thing to do. I am disappointed that it had to be handled this way after first requesting through [redacted] and was declined by the owner twice. Me and my husband drove 300 miles with the thought that we were staying there. Upon arriving both me AND my husband spoke to the owner directly at the front desk and were told there was no reservation, nor vacancy. We were anything but a no-show and left to make other accomodations. He did try and help us to stay at another location that he partners with but we declined because they were going to charge us as well. I will keep an eye open for my refund and reopen the case if need be.
