 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: THAT IS NOT TRUE! I did purchase the car with the warranty but She did not tell me that it only covered the Powertrain and engine. I was told that it covered everything! I was lied to! I manage a Limousine Service with 17 vehicles! We have (3)[redacted] Sedans plus my wife has a 2008 [redacted] as well. I am VERY Familiar with this car and the components of it. I take all of ours to [redacted] of Silver Spring for Service, so its not like I don't know what  I talking about. And it was not 60 days after I bought the car, it was within the first 45 days of purchasing the vehicle because I still had temporary paper tags on the vehicle. You would think that since I am a repeat client and I traded in my 2003 [redacted] that they would do good business but they don't at leat when it comes to me! There is a reason why this company has a F Credit with the Revdex.com! Its not just me complaining! We both know that [redacted] Auto Repair is owned by Valentine Motors which is where I was referred to take the car. Not any shop that I wanted. I was told by Ms. Angie to take the car there for the repairs. They fixed the front suspension of the car but they fixed it wrong because the car started doing the opposite. Raising up 3 to 4 inches on its own.( I can provide pictures) I took the car back to the dealership where Ms.Angie and her boss could see what the car was doing. He stated that the car needed a Height Sensor and they didn't want to fix it. Is it my responsibility to pay for something (that a shop that they clearly owns) that they mess up? If something goes wrong with your car while its in the shop being fixed for one thing and something else happens, it is that shop responsibility to fix it while in there possession! They just trying to put it off on me like it was my fault! That's not good business. As of Yesterday, I spoke with Ms.Angie and she stated that they are not going to do anything about this car. I just think that it is really bad business that this Dealership treats clients this way after buying from them! This is one of the reasons why I got out of the car business because of people like Valentine Motors! They are a Fraud and need to be Exposed to the public! I will never buy another car from them  or refer anyone to them!
Regards,
[redacted]

Review: I purchased the car on valentines day , an hour after driving off the lot the car broke down on me in the middle of an busy intersection. they gave me another vehicle to drive until mine was fixed, the car still not running properly they deducted 400.00 out of my account for tags and title that I still dont have for the car because they just recently told me about taking the car to emmisions.Desired Settlement: partial refund of tags and title and temp tags to get emmisions completed.

Review: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:

I reject offer I paid 400 for tags and taxes & a total of 1600 down at closing cash. Maryland Lemon Law in effect. I was sold a lemon, lied to and never contacted.

Review: [redacted]. and fiancee [redacted] put down the required down payment of 1700$ toward the 03' Chevy Trailblazer. Monday Sept 2, 2013. It was sold to us with 112,240 miles. We test drove the car about half a mile that day to get a feel for it with our sales person in the car. Nothing alarmed us. We came back the next day Sept 3, 2013. To pick up the truck after [redacted], our sales person, told us it had to go through inspection. That was the only way the truck would be ready for us to drive. When we arrived, we still had to sign the designated papers, and was also told by [redacted] that they ordered the button for driver side window control panel and the center caps, as well as tighten the center console. After signing the terms for the truck which included a 2 year warranty for all repairs, we drove the truck off the lot with a confirmation of hearing back from the dealership when those pieces arrived. As [redacted] was driving home, he immediately heard the screeching of the tires and felt the uneasiness it caused when driving. He called Valentine Motors on Thursday September 5, 2013 (and everyday that week)and spoke with "[redacted]" about the problem he was having with the truck and made arrangements to drive the truck

back out to [redacted], MD so they could see how the truck was driving. When he rushed off of work With his 3 month old son and grandmother, [redacted] had left for the evening, although they had a set meet time, and the store manager/owner aggressively rejected to test drive the truck with [redacted] to validate the problems we were having so far. So that visit proved pointless. It must also be noted that the mileage from our address to that of the dealership's was 40 mi going and another 40 mi returning. As the truck got worse in terms of the wheel being extremely loose and feeling unattached, we decided to have it inspected through [redacted] on Saturday 9/7 ([redacted].) With our understanding of lemon laws and the worsening condition of the truck, we didn't want to waste any time getting a second opinion, when we were shown a car fax at time of purchasing that showed no accidents and every time we tried to get information of the previous condition of the truck, Valentine Motors denied proper customer service. It was determined through [redacted]s that the initial inspection done by [redacted] of [redacted] on [redacted] (inspector hired by Valentines Motors) inaccurately passed the truck. The alignment issue the truck had, caused the master tech of [redacted], to fail it because of its road test performance. He wrote "dangerous and unsafe" for the comments of the inspection Sheet. Another piece of important legislation that the inspector [redacted] and our salesman [redacted] neglected to give us at time of picking up the truck, although it had the official MD inspection seal on the truck's head window. Although new parts were added to the vehicle, it failed the most important part of a valid inspection. [redacted] was also able to attest to the fact that the car had to have undergone some type of accident the way it was out of place of the front passenger's side. Which is proven because of how uneasily the door opens as the fender rubs together making the door screech and click when opening. We were advised by [redacted] to take the truck back to the dealership because they sold us a car that was unsafe to drive. We made arrangements to take the truck back the next day Sun 9/8. When we did, we were met by [redacted] who extended no customer gratitude when explaining all we have had to experience with this truck and took no first party responsibility for their hired inspector's flawed inspection. He also assured us that were would be reimbursed for our downpayment and could have our loan terms severed since it hadn't been completely applied yet. That by coming back the next day, we would receive a check for the monies. We also spoke with [redacted], the finance manager, and the male owner who issued us the papers releasing the truck in our possession. And when calling back the next day Monday 9/9 we were met with the run around and told we would not receive our money back but they would try to fix the problem. No one gave us a resolution, except for the name of the inspector. That's when we learned who he was and where his shop was located. On that Monday 9/9, We spoke with state trooper [redacted],( ###-###-#### ) and explained our situation. He advised that we take the truck back to the original inspector. Which was the purpose of us leaving the car overnight from Sunday to Monday 9/9. That Monday we were told the truck was fixed by what the dealership owner referred to as a 'specialist". [redacted] had to borrow his mother's car to drive back to [redacted], md. Yet when he met [redacted] at the [redacted] gave [redacted] $100 to have someone fix the alignment. [redacted] agreed since [redacted] said he can be reimbursed through Valentine motors and noticed how fraudulent the situation was becoming. He was told by the dealership's owner that they would get a specialist who would be fixing the alignment! We expressed this new information to state trooper [redacted] and he advised us to use that money for a 2na inspection with [redacted] to see what they had fixed. We took the truck back to [redacted] on Friday 9/13 where it failed inspection again! The truck's steering wheel had been slightly tightened and the wheels weren't screeching as much. But [redacted] was able to determine that both upper control arms were put on the wrong side and that's why he couldn't properly fix the alignment. A mechanic defect that we were not privy to before purchasing the truck. As the state Trooper was Still involved, [redacted] mother, [redacted] made arrangements for him to test drive the truck as he is trained to do, however, he didn't feel anything was wrong with the truck! It can be confirmed that the state trooper [redacted] spoke with the master tech of [redacted], and scolded him for advising us the way he did. That nothing was wrong with the truck other than a small alignment issue, that once taken back to [redacted], was determined that it couldn't be properly fixed anyway. They tried their best having known and gained a professionally friendly relationship with [redacted] and his family. They made sure we understood what the proper procedures were in a situation like this where a dealership sold us a car that shouldn't have been sold at all in the condition it was in. We then made arrangement to take it back to [redacted] to get the control arms readjusted where he took no responsibility either. Which proves he didn't correctly inspect because that would've been obvious to any technician without putting it on a rack and by simply administering the road test. [redacted] was unable to make that specific appointment which was arranged for Wed. 9/18 because he couldn't take off work. This whole issue has inconvenienced him in terms of the extra mileage put on the truck from the consistent back and forth to the dealership and the [redacted] inspection site. Aside from personal use in which [redacted] works 5 minutes from his house, his fiance [redacted], works 10 mins for the house, and their 3 mos old ion's babysitter also lives 10 mins from the house. There is no mathematical way we would have accrued such mileage standing at 112,950 at time of the final inspections by our regular daily routine and travels. Staying within the 1000 mileage is a knowing condition for lemon laws and making the dealership responsible for any repairs within 30days from time of purchase. We then rearranged the time to take The truck back to [redacted] by dropping it off at his site Sunday evening, 9/22. [redacted] called the dealership to keep them up to date with all the hassles we've endured with trying to do what they were to do before we even drove off the lot with the truck. We were again met with nasty attitudes and no customer service. Being told that they were not responsible for the condition the truck was purchased in. Also saying that they "could"have bought it from the auction in which we in house financed for highly above the proper [redacted] up value, (proven through kelley's blue book)We were speaking with [redacted] most of this time and she blamed us for the alignment issue because of the mileage within the first week in a half we had to come back and forth to have the car looked at and speak with the dealership, A claim the manager of [redacted]5 immediately shot down after speaking with her and telling us about the account. That had NOTHING to do with the truck's steering completely to the left when it should go straight and not snapping back in place after a turn. He laughed at her proposition because a vehicle's alignment Should not alter after only 300 miles. That proves a defect in the condition. We picked the truck back up from [redacted] Tuesday 9/24 where the screeching of the tires had reoccurred making us skeptical of [redacted]'s repairs. Within this, the state trooper became very disgruntle after [redacted] mentioned to him that the car's condition still hadn't improved and we want to take the truck back and get our money back. ( Our initial attempt the first week we noticed the irregularities) But he shot back saying ''isn't [redacted] goihg to fix it and what do you want me to do and that there was nothing even wrong with the truck". A very contradicting statement when we involved him after the first failed inspection with [redacted]. He hung up on [redacted] proving that another professional has denied us proper customer service. After [redacted] did pick up the truck from [redacted], he called Valentine Motors again to reiterate the fraud and indecency they have shown us as a "third party" young couple with an infant, trying to drive in an unsafe truck due to their incorrect selling methods. [redacted] told us she would not give out the names of those we dealt with for this matter and no further information regarding unless we got a lawyer involved. (So we are presently seeking to involve legalities.) We finally took the truck back for a 3rd and final time with [redacted] to properly fix the alignment so it can finally pass the inspection on Thursday 9/26 where all the techs were familiar with our situation and extremely helpful. It should be noted that they gave amazing service, not charging us again for an incomplete alignment fix, and it finally passed the road test. But when [redacted] and I drove home that evening, we were still experiencing the same issues. The truck was driving better so an improvement was apparent, but we still called [redacted] back and he told us to bring it back to him in the morning. So as of today 9/27, the truck is being reevaluated with [redacted] at [redacted] because the alignment still is not correct (by not driving straight and still pulling to the left, as well as the tires still screeching.)We have all records of this horrible month of truck issues to be given for your records and following.Desired Settlement: Total reimbursement of down payment ($1,700) and taking the car back, and/or total reimbursement of down payment and/or choice of better running car (see Attached document).

Review: Re: 2009 Dodge Journey On March 11, 2013 I purchased a 2009 Dodge Journey from your dealership with the assumption that I was purchasing a good vehicle.Unfortunately, your vehicle has not lived up to that expectation, also your company has not been able to obtain vehicle tags, fix major issues, I was double taxed for the vehicle and the customer service was inadequate. Because I was assured before purchasing the vehicle that there wouldnt be any problems with the rebuilt title changing over to Virginia and collecting the hard plate tags, the vehicle was purchased. Days after purchase you were informed that the vehicle will not also pass Virginia inspections because of the Air bag censor and Tire sensor light was on. The car was also taken to [redacted] Dodge motors Inc. to have a diagnostic test done and semi inspection to see what else would be wrong in which [redacted] was provided a list of on May 20, 2013. It listed the Air bag light on, Transmission has a leak, Tires low and pressure sensors broke at threads causing air leak, Tires needs to be balanced and rotated and front /rear brakes need replacement and Air conditioner hose need replacement. I am disappointed because I having been very cooperative and understanding but constantly lied to. One employee unparticular [redacted] has been rude on numerous occasions and made me to feel my issues are unimportant because I am not the only person they are selling a car too. I have asked to be given a vehicle in which none of these problems are present, to have them fixed and tags and car title obtained or my money back minus the payment for accumulated mileage. This vehicle is no good to me if the plates cannot be obtained and problems can not be fixed it has been a total of 4 months with no progress made except for the tire pressure sensor, the tax billing after brought to your attention 3 months later was finally fixed. To resolve the problem, I would appreciate your company to have my money refunded, or exchange the vehicle with another one without listed problems.Desired Settlement: To resolve the problem, I would appreciate your company to have my money refunded, or exchange the vehicle with another one without listed problems.

Re: [redacted]

We are responding to the above complaint ....

**. [redacted] purchased the referenced vehicle on September 5, 2013, with no warranty. This vehicle was sold "AS IS", which **. [redacted] signed the AS-IS statement. He contacted us about a problem with the car AFTER he took the vehicle to another repair facility that he paid to fix his vehicle. After he got his vehicle back, the vehicle was still not fixed, so brought the car to our dealership and explained he had paid almost $2000 to have his car fixed, and it still is having problems. We had our mechanics look at the car, and told him he needed a fuel pump. We told him that we would replace the fuel pump for him, he would pay for the part and we would not charge him any labor to put the fuel pump on. Since **. [redacted] had already spent a consider[redacted] amount of money at another repair facility, and he did not have the money to pay for the part, we allowed him to add the $350.00 towards the balance of is monies still owed for the vehicle.

Valentine Motors did not take advantage of **. [redacted], he chose the vehicle he wanted to buy. He clearly knew and has acknowledged that the vehicle was being SOLD AS IS.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

Sincerely,

Manager
