Thank you for your review, Ginger! We look forward to working with you again in the future.

Gutters were replaced - a partial replacement. The installer was completely responsive to my requests, and this was not an easy job for him; he had to - single handedly - somehow move a 40 foot piece up over my roof ridge and neatly into place. He also handled my request for revision to the planned downspout location, and did an excellent job with that.

A fine job!

Thank you for the review ***! We're honored to be your roofing contractor. Take care!

It's two weeks later after our disastrous roof installation by Valentine Roofing. They encountered unusual construction under our old roof, and instead of problem solving, they charged us $4,000 extra for plywood, slapped it down without regard to how it looked, bending the straight lines on the roof of our midcentury home, and leaving open, uncovered seams along the edges where the roof meets the trim--exposed rather than covered by the metal cap material. They threw out our downspouts without replacing them. We have no downspouts on half of our house yet (they didn't replace them until we demanded it, and then they ran out of downspouts and couldn't finish) and our basement could easily flood. Rain is now dumping from open holes in the overhang of our roof instead of being channeled away from the house. The roof is unacceptable and they are refusing to fix it. It's two weeks later and nothing has been done to fix it. Our roof looks like absolute crap and we are so disappointed. We have been documenting our communication with them, and their refusal to make it right, and may have to take legal action. Homes are most people's biggest asset. It's where we live with our families. It's central to our financial wellbeing. For them to treat our home, and us, with so little respect is outrageous and sad. This was a big investment for us, and we chose them for the quality they claimed. We couldn't be more disappointed. We are honestly in disbelief.

Valentine Roofing was very prompt in getting the roof replaced (maybe too much - arriving just after 8:00 when I was told they would come by 9:00), and the price was comparable to other roofers in the area. They were great with communication every step of the way. However, in the initial estimate, they didn't find any problems with the plywood, although other companies that gave us estimates did. When it came to actually replacing the roof, they found those problems, adding over $1000 to the total cost. Also, they did not clean up after themselves very well, leaving debris in the garage. An additional problem was that the stove vent fan quit working as a result of the roofing. They repaired it for free, but they had the crew leader do the repair, and scheduling was very difficult to do since he was working around another roofing job he was doing.

The time and care you took in providing your genuine account of your experience with our company is sincerely appreciated. We are glad that we were able to come back out take care of the issue with your kitchen vent. If you have any other concerns or kudos please do not hesitate to let us know.

We asked valentine to give us a quote on our roof, they said we needed a new one and new ventilation. We hired them which led to a attic full of mold including all the insulation. We contacted them they verbally admitted they were new at doing ventilation.they did change the ventilation and sprayed irraticly the rafters with a chemical but didn't get rid of mold. A mold expert has come out several times and reported back to valentine,he also tested the insulation and that is full of mold. We also researched how what it will take to resolve the mold and had 2 soda blast co. Come out and gave a quote to us and valentine.valentine has told us that this is not their problem . my husband has copd which the mold aggregates,we paid for a new roof and ventilation that they said we needed and now we're left with an attic full of mold.

Valentine Roofing was contracted to install a new roof by Mr. on March 13, 2017. We installed his roof on May of 2017. Everything was installed according to the contract. Customer had preexisting conditions on his roof that caused his previous roof to have mold/rot. It could have been a combination of leaks or ventilation. We were hired to replace bad sheathing as well as old roof, which is what we did. We were not hired to do any attic ventilation.

Almost a year after we installed the new roof is when we were contacted by the customer about the mold in the attic. We conducted our investigation and determined that it could have been a ventilation issue, which we were not contracted to do. The existing intake ventilation was not ventilating properly. We hired a mold solutions specialist to conduct an inspection to have a second opinion. Turns out that the ventilation was not balanced. We made corrections recommended by the mold specialist to ensure customer did not keep having this problem. Currently there is no mold growing anymore. Insulation was found to have mold, but this was already a preexisting problem before we even started their project. We were not contracted to replace their insulation.

As it stands, there is no longer any ventilation problem or mold growth problem. All of those have been addressed. There are however some stains from the mold problem in the attic, which we have offered the customer an amount to help with this so that they can hire a company to blast those stains.

In early January 2018 I contacted valentine roofing to remove the mass from my rough I was told they were just doing the January scheduling and they would get me on the list I went out of town for the month of February. When I returned in March the job had not been started. I contacted valentine in April and again in June and they ignore ledge my information is in the computer and they have not started the job.

Valentine Roofing

Back in October of 2017 I began communicating with the Sales Rep Danny from Valentine Roofing. I was communicating for 2 neighbors and myself. I received at least 6 estimates for my roof, negotiating, reading reviews and talking to other neighbors. From day 1 Valentine has been extremely responsive. I have not been the easiest customer, I am sure I drove Danny crazy with all my questions!
After all was said and done we chose Valentine and signed the contract in early March (I was the one that drug my feet from October....NOT VALENTINE). We went with Valentine for several reasons 1) I value reviews and great customer service 2) I value doing business with a company who is upfront and honest 3) I saw the beautiful work they did on 3 neighbors houses while we were dragging our feet.
Once we were assigned a PM, Salvador, I received phone calls and emails thoroughly explaining the scope of the project. Loved Salvador!
Monday April 2nd our materials were delivered, the same morning the crew began removing the old roof! They worked until 7pm Monday and were back at it to finish the project Tuesday....YES....my roof was complete in 1 1/2 days and it looks FANTASTIC. This crew was off the charts, their care for my spring flowers, their precautions to cover the entire yard (although quite small) with tarps as to not leave any debit in the yard was outstanding.
Clearly Valentine is doing something right....you don't have employees that are so kind, respectful and just overall good people if you are not treating them properly!
YES, I would 100% recommend Valentine. I will say, they were not the cheapest estimate, but for a roof I find tremendous value in the company and the project that is being done. I had 1 other bid I was seriously considering and then read reviews on his company......
thank you Valentine for a job well done.

Valentine did our roofing. Upon replacement of roof the house started leaking water. Has caused serious issues. Company refuses to take responsibility. Please call for further details. Will provide additional information to Revdex.com upon calling.
Also disputing warranty on side storage roof, I would not knowingly purchase anything without a warranty. There is a language barrier involved. My experience has been insincere and unprofessional. The company just wants the problems to go away. Not the most organized company. Utilizes affordable labor. Claims best worker did the roof but the roofing peels off on edge. Miscommunication or not, no responsibility has been accepted or initiative taken to rectify the situation.
Has not even been a year since the job. Only a few months. House was not leaking before. Company dumped the problem on us and left us stranded without a solution. No follow ups. I wish everything was done properly or better customer service was offered. I am over 80 years old. I should not have to deal with such issues at my age. Water condensation is impacting my health. Please expedite this fix. Thank you much for considering my situation.

Roof was installed on August. During the roofing project, the crew leader noticed that a deck on the second floor that is attached to the roof needed to be looked at as he thought that there could be a leak there in the future. Per the crew leader on the jobsite, he thought it either needed to be resealed or redone. The crew leader also mentioned that there was some siding that needed to be looked at as well, as there could also be a possibility of a leak there. These notes were communicated to the Project Manager, which then the Project Manager communicated this to Mr. by the time the Project Manager was wrapping up this project. This type of work is not roofing related and it is not something that the company works on, so that is why we suggested that the customer reach out to someone to take care of these. On November 14th 2017, the customer called and said he was having a leak on his roof. This is the first time the customer contacted us in regards to this. That same day we had the Crew Leader, who originally installed the roof, out there to inspect the roof leak. He inspected the roof we installed and there was no leak happening through the shingles or flashings installed. He also inspected the deck and siding that he had originally brought up to the customer's attention, and noticed that the customer did not attempt to get that fixed. Once again, the Project manager told the customer that he need to take care of the issues that were brought up to him back in August. On November 30th 2017, we had our Quality Control manager out to inspect the roof leak, as customer had called saying that his roof was leaking. Our QC manager inspected shingles, flashings, attic, and inside the home. He found no signs that the roof installed was leaking. This was communicated to customer. This time around we also gave the customer the phone number of a third party company that specializes in detecting leaks. This will provide some insight from a Third party whether it is a roof leak caused by our work or not, as customer refused to accept that it was a deck leak. I called the customer today, January 7th 2018, to offer to pay for the third party company to conduct the inspection. I explained to him if he let us do this, we can pin point exactly where the leak is coming from and we can come up with the best course of action to take. Customer no longer wanted us to do anything, as he was having his insurance do the work. I sincerely apologize to Mr. for this inconvenience, as we strive to provide a great roof that will last for years to come. We believe we installed a solid roof that doesn't leak. We have our own employees that do the roofing work, and they go through intensive training to make sure they provide a roof that is up to company standards. However this does the customer no good if they are still having a leak, even if it is not a roof leak. That is why I reached out today to see what else we can do in order to help the customer get to the bottom of this. Even if it doesn't have to do with the roof that we installed, we still want to help the customer resolve this in a timely manor. In regards to the warranty on storage, it is in the contract that the low pitch section(storage) will not have a warranty. This is due to the customer requesting shingles on a low pitch area, which we usually prefer to install PVC on these areas. We typically don't install shingles on a low pitch area, per our protocols. However if it is specifically requested by the customer, we do it but we do not provide a warranty for that specific area ONLY. However we do take the measures and add additional protection in order to prevent any issues in the low pitch areas. Also, even if we don't provide a warranty for those specific areas, we still stand behind our work and should the customer have any issues there we would definitely take care of those. Again, we are here to help and would love to be able to help Mr. get this resolved. I am available by phone at *** or by email at ***@valentineroof.comI have attached a picture of the deck that is on top of the roof for reference.

I would highly recommend Valentine roofing to anyone who needs a new roof. I heard about them on KTTH and decided to have them submit a bid. Of the three bids theirs was the best value. They did the roof in about a week and their installers were very professional and cleaned up every day. I was amazed to see how big a job a new roof is (going from Wood Shake to Presidential TL) and am highly satisfied with the look and quality of my new roof. The icing on the cake came two weeks later when a rep from the company came out and walked the roof to ensure it was all done properly, which it was. Everything about my experience with Valentine Roofing was exceptional!

Valentine just finished my roof and I could not be more happier with the service, one of the best ever!

Valentine Roofing was hired to replace flat sloped roof. They initally said downspouts and gutters were going to be needed, then when I asked Kes A to take a look and be sure, he told me no change in the gutters were required. After they finished the job in August, last week on 9'/21 I found the downspouts were not attached to the roof drains and there were no attached drainage gutters. As well, a gutter hole was added where there should not be one. I have called numerous times and I keep getting passed off to a different person, Eddy, Freddy, Johnny. THe owner of the company refuses to talk with me directly. THe person they said would help me ***, kept putting me off and has not contacted me . I have called again to him and to other companies. to try and get help, but the Valentine Roofing company should have made sure that the gutters and downspouts were correct. They failed to even inform me that the downspouts were not connected although Johnny, the job crew leader, told me that he told the supervisor that they were not attached.

Valentine Roofing Response

I found out about this customer's concern on Monday 9/18/17. ***'s contract included an upgrade to 3" scuppers from the 2" scuppers she originally had on her roof. Downspouts were not included in the contract, as she didn't sign up for downspouts at an additional cost. However, I called *** that Monday to get her in contact with our gutter contractor to see what we can do. Our gutter contractor went to that job site and gave me an estimate on new downspouts for her house, although it wasn't in the contract I offered to have our gutter contractor take care of the downspouts for her at no cost. As of 9/26, *** had already hired her own gutter contractor and got her new downspouts installed. I offered to reimburse her for the downspouts and she accepted. She emailed me a receipt of payment on 9/27, and our accounting department is now processing the reimbursement.

Customer Response

Revdex.com:

He is leaving out the part where Kes A came over and told me no new downspouts were required. And the part where his crew told them that the downspouts would not work. And I was told no downspouts were needed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

We had a very good experience with Valentine Roofing. The project manager, Nelson, provided daily communication and always had materials and supplies ready for the crew. The crew leader, Nicholas, was very professional and courteous. The crew was hard working, arriving early and staying late. We were impressed with their work ethic. We highly recommend Valentine Roofing.

Valentine roofing did a great job on our roof. They finished in one day which I appreciated. Cleaned up around house, and it was cleaner than when they started. You do have to be flexible with timing though.

My experience with Valentine was excellent from the sales/bid process to the finished job and quality customer service follow-up. The entire team was extremely efficient and professional. My roof was a pretty big and difficult job, but the workmanship was first class. Their customer check-ins/updates throughout were very much appreciated. On top of the quality work and excellent customer service, they were one of my lower bids for the job. I would give Valentine my unqualified endorsement to anybody.

I had a large roof replaced in Redmond area. The crew was fantastic. They were very thorough and at the same time very efficient. It took them a few days to finish the job, but they would clean up really well at the end of each day.
They sure did surpass my expectations and did an amazing job. Would highly recommend.

We got three quotes, as you hear you should. So glad one of them was from Valentine Roofing. We choose Valentine Roofing as they were very straightforward and not pushy. They were great to work with. Very professional and respectful. Our roof looks fantastic. They cleaned up each day and even cleaned out the gutters - what a great surprise!
We have business cards we are handing out too!
