This is in regards to complaint ID [redacted] and I am Erik Valiante, owner of Valiante PaintingAs the owner of Valiante Painting, I take great pride in the integrity and quality of every job we doI genuinely care for each and every customer, treating them and their home with the utmost respect· Paint spills: Paint was not spilled anywhere at the homeowner's house.· Paint sheens: The previous and current sheen in the kitchen were satin sheen, which is what the homeowner requested.· Changing colors of the ceilings: The homeowner is correct; I did not include painting ceilings on the estimateI included on the estimate only what projects the homeowner originally authorized me to includeWhen the homeowner added the ceilings at a later date, I informed her of the charges and received approval to proceed.· Excessive cost for additional work: The additional cost was not for three small ceilingsThe $covered painting ceilings in four rooms; removing contents and painting walls in pantry; and skim coating all office walls with drywall mud and sanding to remove a thick stencil design· Paint in kitchen: The homeowner complained about the previous painter's error of getting paint on the ceilingAlthough not in my estimate, I offered to touch up his errors for free, and the homeowner declinedI offered to paint the whole ceiling for a cost, and the homeowner declinedThe homeowner demanded I paint the ceiling and correct the previous painter’s error for free, which I said I would not do.· Streaks: I don’t know what the homeowner is referring toThis was not brought to my attention during my follvisit or any other communication.All calls were returned same day or next business day, and I personally met with her at her house next business day to review her complaintsI also have photographs of the previous painter’s errors, which I document at the start of each projectThe homeowners were present each day the painting was being completed, and had the opportunity to review my work on the final day before departure I have emails accepting the estimate costs, and those responding to all of the homeowners’ concerns and questionsAll of my emails and phone calls reflect the professionalism, promptness and respect that I extend to all valued customersI take any concern or complaint seriously and would never be upset with a homeowner for expecting great resultsI feel the accusation is false, and all efforts to resolve the issues fairly (and even at my expense) have been declined by the homeowners Thank you, Erik V.eValiante Painting [redacted]

The homeowners were home every day work was being completed and could clearly see my workmanship and the materials being used as the job was completed. I used a high-quality [redacted]s Super Paint for the project (I have receipts to show this). Prior to any work being completed, I showed the homeowner imperfections in the walls and previous paint splatters on trim (I took many photos that are time-dated that are evidence these existed prior to any work being completed). I used the exact color the homeowner requested via email. I have an email offering a solution to the customer and the customer sending an unfriendly email in response. I have an email dated 11-23-15 reviewing our phone conversation earlier that day and offering to work with the customer to reach a solution and offering a cost to paint her kitchen ceiling. The customer filed a complaint with the Revdex.com on 11-23-15 and I was notified by mail; which shows the phone conversation I had with the customer and my email to the customer was myself doing everything in my power to resolve an issue and by no means was motivated by a Revdex.com complaint. On the same email, I review our phone conversation earlier that day and review in writing the explanation of my costs. I have attempted to call the customer and the customer has hung up on me. Friends of the customer have reviewed this complaint and the customer's unfriendly emails to me and have tried to reason with the customer with no success. I have worked for two customers who are friends of the homeowner and they have offered to write letters of recommendation for me.  I have recently received payment from the homeowner for the work originally quoted on the original estimate, but no money towards the additional work completed. All of my statements can be backed by evidence. People who both know the complainant and had me complete work for them are willing to write letters on my behalf. I operate my business based on my Christian values. I stand behind my work which is why I responded to the homeowner's initial complaint the same day and I was at their house the next business day doing any cleaning they asked (both the husband and wife were home).  If the homeowner wanted any touchups, I would have gladly done them and I am still willing to do them. I do not know why the homeowner has gone to such great lengths when I am so willing to resolve this. I am requesting the homeowner pay the remainder of the invoice for what I am justly owed and I will gladly complete touchups specifically related to my work.Thank you!
