From: Elaine R [redacted] Sent: Thursday, June 04, 8:AM To: drteam Subject: RE: Revdex.com of Houston and South Texas- Complaint regarding Your Business # [redacted] I was not proposing a resolution for this patient I was simply stating the factual events of the matter This patient refused to pay the debt when it occurred, notes were put on the account She received monthly billing statements, none of which were returned, and the amount was not disputed at the time Our collection department bad debted the account due to refusal pay and the patient, to our knowledge, transferred care When she tried to return to our practice it was under the guise that she had never been a patient here, but our staff quickly pulled up the bad debted account and informed the patient as such Unfortunately, this person is not being truthful in her account The discussion between the Practice manager and this person was certainly witnessed by business office staff and her inappropriate vulgarity and obscene language was overheard by multiple staff members as well She was repeatedly informed that our office policy does not tolerate the inappropriate behavior she was exhibiting, and requested that she refrain from the vulgarities and obscenities that she was engaging in We did not turn her account over to outside collection due to the small amount We simply wrote the account off as a bad debt-refusal to pay and will not be making future appointments for this patient All staff contact with this patient was appropriate and followed office policy Elaine R [redacted] Practice Manager Steeplechase Pediatric Center, PA

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint There should have never been a debt since I contacted the office to cancel years ago I was not aware of this debt I did not receive notification of this debt, this is why I was surprised when the clerk informed meIf the debt was truly mine, I would have paid it It was only $ This is why I questioned about disputing the claim What angered and upset me was when the front office mgrcontinued to tell me that the debt was mine She was relentless in saying that the debt was valid, even after I told her that I called in to cancel the debt She was rude, therefore I did become rude However, I was not vulgar I will not pay a debt I do not owe, no one would and I would dispute, as anyone else would I am not satisfied with their response as it is untrue and an attempt to slander my character I will tell everyone I know about this issue and I will never patronize this business Sad thing is, I didn't even get a chance to meet the doctor This front office manager is unprofessional and she represents this practice and she does not own the practice I would like to have the debt removed Thanks,

Sent:Tuesday, June 02, 11:AM To:drteam Subject:Steeplechase Pediatric Center, PA #*** The person who placed this complaint incurred a debt with this practice on 8/26/2013. Several attempts were made over a month period to collect this debt, but the debtor refused and
chose to transfer care to another physician. AT that point notations were placed on the account and the account was placed in bad debt status. This debtor tried to come back to us as a new patient on 5/12/stating the she would be a new patient and was not seen by our office prior. Of course, when the debtor’s information was put in our system, the bad debt account came up. When the debtor was told she would need to clear the account of the bad debt before we would make an appointment, she became verbally abusive using quite explicit and vulgar language. Staff followed policy and notified the debtor that she needed to seek treatment elsewhere as we would not tolerate the kind of behavior she was exhibiting. Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.   There should have never been a debt since I contacted the office to cancel 3 years ago.  I was not aware of this debt.  I did not receive notification of this debt, this is why I was surprised when the clerk informed me. If the debt was truly mine, I would have paid it.  It was only $25.  This is why I questioned about disputing the claim.  What angered and upset me was when the front office mgr. continued to tell me that the debt was mine.  She was relentless in saying that the debt was valid, even after I told her that I called in to cancel the debt.  She was rude, therefore I did become rude.  However, I was not vulgar.  I will not pay a debt I do not owe, no one would and I would dispute, as anyone else would.  I am not satisfied with their response as it is untrue and an attempt to slander my character.  I will tell everyone I know about this issue and I will never patronize this business.  Sad thing is, I didn't even get a chance to meet the doctor.  This front office manager is unprofessional and she represents this practice and she does not own the practice.  I would like to have the debt removed.                                         ...
