I do not dispute this claim, everything stated is true. I would like to add, in my defense, that I under estimated the complexity of the project, being such an old and outdated structure, I went way over budget, twice the amount it cost to install door, and fix existing. I ask that I may repay money...

Review: Our agreement was to remove existing garage door, convert back to original two car garage door opening, re-install doors with purchasing one new door only, assuming all the proper original hardware and motor are present and functional. total budgeted amount:$2200-$2600. work will begin on Wednesday 13th 2013. A $540 down payment is required to ordering new door. paid $540 by check on 11-13-2013. paid second $1000 by check on 11-22-2013 paid balance of $1660 by check on 12-6-2013 total paid was $3200 which was $600 over agreement. [redacted] told me they would be done that afternoon Dec 6, 2013. A year later, many emails and the doors are still not done and I have not received a refund to finish them. I have all my papers, agreements and receipts.Desired Settlement: Refund

Review: I did not know when I hired this company that it was not licensed. I have also found out some other information from the city inspector that permits were not done correctly. As I read the review, I notice another person had some of the same problems and got the same response from Mr. [redacted] . It seems that he always blames the customer!! I had him build a screen porch and deck. I have not gotten the 2 screen doors installed valued at $100 each. They are listed in the original contract.This is the biggest issue for finishing. He promised to finish a short list of items needing to be finished or corrected. Only after many email, texts, phone calls and instruction from the city did he get the electrical done. The gutter was replaced but one side still leaks. I let him know to no avail. The end board across the end of the deck is split and needs replaced, a post sticking out of the house was to be corrected and asphalt patch on the edge of the driveway . I have given him many chances to come back and finish. It is coming up on a year since he started. He would promise , promise , promise and never show. Now he will not answer my texts or emails. The biggest mistake I made was paying him in full the last day. With only a day of work left to do, I thought he would do it. If he had just finished the list, I would not have found out the fact that he did not have a license. I went to the city for help and was shocked to find out that and a couple of other discrepancies. I have exhausted my means of getting him to comply. He was told that I would take action to which he asked that I give him a chance to finish. After almost a year of trying to resolve this, I sent him a last request to finish in April 2015 and have not heard back. It is evident that he is not going to respond to me at this point. At this point, all I want is to have this resolved.Desired Settlement: I need to be refunded for two screen doors and all other items on the list so I can have a reputable contractor finish the work.
