Valley Equipment Inc. Reviews (1)

Back on September 10, *** *** called Valley Equipment Inc to schedule a time to pick up his Dixon mower for deck repairs; he mentioned the deck was
making odd noises and needed to be looked at and repaired.
On September 11, our service tech went to *** house to pick up his Dixon mower as requested...again *** had mentioned to our service tech about the deck issues that needed to be looked at and repaired and also stated to him that he does his own service on the engine; changes filters & oil, etc.
A couple of days later after *** Dixon mower had been in our shop and was carefully examined for necessary repairs, *** then called *** to explain in detail all of the necessary repairs that were needed as well as the estimated cost of the repairs*** had quoted *** around an estimated $plus tax which would cover the discussed items of: repairing of deck & unit bearings and housing, deck idler pulleys, deck belt, deck drive belt, hydraulic belt, hydraulic pulleys and bushings.
*** was now aware at this time that of all the repairs involved with the deck & unit would cost a possible estimated $plus tax there was no mention of power-washing the unit or servicing the engine at this time*** then mentioned that his blades were not good but *** did not want to replace the blades so *** then suggested to save him money, we would sharpen the blades at a cost of $*** then asked could we also change the fuel filter, *** told him yesSharpening the blades and changing the fuel filter would now change the above estimated cost, plus *** was also aware of our pick up and delivery charge of his mower for $*** had also told *** that one of the pulleys was not in stock and it had to be ordered; not a fuel filter that *** had mentioned in his Revdex.com concern*** was fully aware that the mower would not be ready until Monday.
At his time *** was aware of the discussed additional charges; blades, fuel filter plus pick up and delivery charge and then instructed *** to go ahead with all of the above listed repairs as long as we don't go over $900.00.
On September 22, *** delivered ***'s mower back to his house and verbally explained to *** all of the necessary repairs that had been completed and that was previously discussed on the phone call mentioned above.
After the delivery of the mower, *** had called *** to complain that the mower had not been power-washed and that the engine was not service*** had referred *** back to their initial phone call and what they had discussed, again during the phone call there was no mention of power-washing or serving the engine*** then told *** that he had previously instructed us to keep the charge under $and these additional services....that were never discussed would have added to the final cost.
We then received a letter from *** on September 26, stating that the additional services; power-washing and servicing the engine that had never been discussed was not done; he was basically repeating the same thing that he had told *** on the phone after receiving his mower back*** was then instructed to call *** back to discuss the letter and let him know that we would be more than happy to pick up his mower and do the additional services at NO CHARGE that *** was now requestingBefore we had a chance to call *** back, we had received a letter from the Revdex.com with ***'s concern wanting either $difference and he would finish the mower himself or we would pick it up and do the additional services requested after the initial repairs had been completed at no charge. *** immediately called *** to discuss his concerns....again, *** stated he wanted his mower to be power washed and his engine now serviced...*** told him we would come to his house immediately to pick up his mower and handle the additional services at NO CHARGE that he had requested, *** then told *** he was too busy that day and was going out of town for a couple of days....he scheduled pick up for six days out 10/13/Monday when he comes back into town.
In reference to ***'s comment about being charged $for sublet repairs ...it is clearly stated on his invoice that the $was for pick up and delivery service and the $was for the sharpening of the blades again, all of these costs were discussed with *** during their initial phone call as stated above.
Please let us know if you have any additional concernsThank you -
