Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meSincerely, [redacted]

First off we apologize for any inconvenience *** went through during this experience. We understand that he may have wanted his contact lenses by a specific date, but we can never absolutely guarantee glasses or contacts will arrive by a specific date. Normally we tell a customer that a
contact lenses order will arrive in 3-business days, and generally this is accurate. In some rare circumstances, problems with ordering or delivery can arise that are out of our control. Perhaps we could have been clearer in our statement to him, explaining that we expect the contacts to be in at the given times, but that it is possible that they might come in later. In regards to account statements and final notices: *** did order contact lenses and we billed him and is insurance for them. Although the contacts did not arrive at his desired time, they did come in and we tried contacting him several times to let him know they were available for pick-up, but we received no response. *** received statements for nearly three months before he received a notice that he would be sent to collections. At any point he could have called the office or come in and explained that he was unhappy with our service and that he wanted to cancel his order. Instead, he posted an angry comment on our Facebook page, gave us a low rating on our Facebook page, and filed a complaint with the Revdex.com all without ever trying to contact us to resolve the issue. The post on our Facebook page was made on 1/6/and the complaint to the Revdex.com was made on 1/7/2017. On 1/10/*** did call our office, explaining his understanding of the situation. At this point our staff gladly cancelled his order, settled his account and he is free and clear from any order or purchase.*** is welcome back at any time for an eye exam or to purchase glasses or contact lenses. It's unfortunate that this couldn't have been resolved sooner with better communication between both parties
Best Regards To All

One of the optometrists here, Kim McGillicuddy, always overbooks her schedule, forcing patients to wait and wait anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes beyond their appointment time. I sat in a waiting room drumming my fingers nearly 30 minutes waiting for her to see me for a routine eye exam. She has NO CONSIDERATION for her patient's time. AVOID using Kim McGillicuddy and Valley Eyecare!!!

Valley Eyecare failed to issue a contact lens prescription that expires "one year or more from the date the prescription is issued to a patient."On March 07, 2013 I went to Valley Eyecare to purchase a new eyeglass prescription and begin the process of having a contact lens prescription issued to me. [redacted] suggested I try a new brand of contacts. She put in the order for the new lenses for me to try. I also received an eye health assessment. For this I payed $175.00 with my debit card.On April 4, 2013 I received a phone call from Valley Eyecare telling me the contact lenses had arrived. I scheduled an appointment to begin the lens trial period for April 16,2013.On April 16, 2013 I went to Valley Eyecare and met [redacted] (O.D.) to begin the lens fitting. I was scheduled to return to Valley Eyecare on April, 30 2013 following the two week trial period. On April, 30 2013 I went to Valley Eyecare. I expressed to [redacted] that the lenses [redacted] were extremely irritating and uncomfortable to my eyes. Therefore, he suggested I try Bausch + Lomb SofLens Toric contacts. He told me to call him in 1 week in order for him to issue the prescription. On May 7, 2013 I called Valley Eyecare. I was told that [redacted] was not available. On May 8, 2013 I called Valley Eyecare. I was told that [redacted] was not available. On May 9, 2013 I called Valley Eyecare. I was told that [redacted] was not available. On May 10, 2013 I called Valley Eyecare. I spoke with [redacted]. I told him that the Bausch + Lomb SofLens Toric contact lenses fit me very well. He told me he would issue me the prescription seeing the contact lens fitting is complete. He told me he would mail the prescription via the United States Postal Service. On May 18, 2013 I received an envelope mailed to [redacted] XXXXX." The return address is marked [redacted] XXXXX. The United States Postal Service documented the envelope as being mailed on May 17, 2013 according to the stamping. The prescription that was contained in the envelope mailed to me is dated as being issued on April 7, 2013. This is impossible seeing that is the date of my initial visit with [redacted]. Furthermore, the prescription is written to expire on February 5, 2014.On May 31, 2013 I spoke with [redacted] via telephone. I expressed to her that I had not received the product I paid for. I told her that it was my desire to purchase a contact lens prescription that expires one year after the date that it was issued to me. She told me I did receive a prescription that expires one year after it was issued to me.I told her that the prescription that was mailed to me via the United States Postal Service was stamped May 17, 2013 yet the expiration of that same prescription is on February 5, 2014.I asked her if she would extend the expiration so that I would have the mandated one year period to purchase contact lenses. She told me that she would not change the prescription. --------------In light of my experience I have several concerns. First, I am concerned that I did not receive the product I paid for from Valley Eyecare - that being a contact lens prescription that expires "one year or more from the date the prescription is issued to a patient" (ftc.gov).Secondly, am concerned for my and other patients safety. The Federal Trade Commission and the Food and Drug Administration regulate contact lens business and trade for the customer's safety in mind. Yet if Valley Eyecare does not follow simple regulations and laws such as the one mentioned above, I fear they may fail to follow others.Thirdly, I am concerned about Valley Eyecare's customer service. Regardless of the fact that I did not receive the product I payed for, [redacted] was extremely rude and unwilling to accommodate my need to receive the product I paid for. I also fear that Valley Eyecare's unfair and rude business practices will adversely affect their business partner - [redacted]'s [redacted] Desired SettlementI would like a contact lens prescription that is compliant with the Federal Trade Commissions rule to expire "one year or more from the date the prescription is issued to a patient" (ftc.gov).
