Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The walls cracked soon after opening, and he came back to patch it up but never returned to paintNo one has crawled under the sink to hit pipes so that they would leakThe back room has been flooding, and that is because of his poor planning In regards to the $7,he thinks I owe, we had a contract to finish in which $would be deducted every week past a certain amount of timeHe was more than weeks behind that schedule, and we settled on a 50% payment, which is more than I would have been contractually obligated to pay.
It's not even worth my time to deal with someone who doesn't stand by his work, so I will seek remedies elsewhere and consider this matter closed.

The original invoice and contract did state if construction time exceeded a certain amount of time, $1,would be deducted for each week of additional construction timeHowever, the original invoice compared to the final invoice is drastically differentThere were numerous change orders and additions to the original scope of work including: buifurniture in the rear party room, shelving in the kitchen, prep area, and front counter top area, additional electrical lines for added equipment beyond what was originally specified, additional plumbing lines for added equipment, installation of televisions and other electronics, finishing a portion of the basement, and repainting walls to change the colors after the painting had already been completed. There were other issues that added time to the scope of work that were caused by poor planning by ***One issue was that *** did not specify large enough door sizes to fit the size of equipment that he orderedHowever, at no cost to ***, we removed the trim, doors and framing, in order to fit his equipment into the storeWe then rebuilt and painted everything that had needed to be removed. An additional, more substantial issue was the soda and coffee machines that *** decided to add to the scope of work, at the very end of the projectAt this point, before *** added the machines, the store was 100% complete with the exception of some specific plumbing parts that were required for these machinesUnfortunately, these parts took three weeks to get inIf we had known about the machines earlier, we could have planned accordingly and allotted the proper time needed in order to receive the parts on time. These were some of the major changes that added additional time onto the original estimated timeThere have been signed contracts throughout the project which reflect the changes and additions made.In response to ***'s response, I did not think anyone would "crawl under the sink to hit pipes so they would leak." I happen to know that not all workers are fully educated on how to properly handle such equipment, and whether ***'s workers are or not, the sink, since being installed, could have been altered, hit, touched etcSomething could have gotten knocked out of place accidentally even while the store was being mopped or while moving merchandise aroundQuite frankly, in my opinion, the statement "No one has crawled under the sink to hit pipes so they would leak" is an ignorant, obvious and ridiculous thing to say.The back room has man hole in the floor, but that has nothing to do with any of the work that we didIf that is leaking, it is an issue with the buildingIn that case, *** should be seeking a solution from his landlord.I have never had complaints, issues, or negative feelings from any of my past customers that was not easily resolved until dealing with ***I am proud of the work that my company completes and accomplishes and I do stand behind it 100%Perhaps if *** had called me from the beginning to discuss the issues, we could have conversed like professionals and therefore come to a more acceptable solution for both partiesIf he would like to call or meet in person to discuss any issues, I would be more than happy to meet, but I will not respond to e-mails and text messages.Respectfully,

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  it just seems from his response that he was not adequately equipped to handle this sort of job causing numerous delays and additions all at a significant cost to me. I gave him a shot to do this job because he seemed trustworthy and did a home project for me. In hindsight, I would have picked a larger company with more commercial experience. I understand his frustrations which is why I agreed to the 50% payout. I got burned badly in this and lost a lot of money. However, as I stated in my last response, I will consider this matter closed.  It's not worth either of our times to fight over this. I'll bring on a local handyman to fix the problems instead. Thanks for your help.

would be more then happy to as any problems that **. [redacted] has found with the store. If any of the issues were caused by faulty workmanship I will have them fixed. The "project", as **. [redacted] referred to it, is a self-serve [redacted] store where I can only assume employees are moving boxed goods and cleaning equipment around. The pipes under the kitchen sinks are exposed pipes as in all commercial kitchens and were in fine working order throughout the weeks of construction and the first few months of the store being opened. Seeing as how there were no leaks the first few months of operation I would assume the pipes were damaged well after construction was completed. I would also assume that there are customers of all ages coming through the store and not being cautious of the walls and that is why base may be coming looses and paint touch ups may be necessary. If I had the courtesy of a proper phone call I would have explained all of this to **. Review: [redacted] from Valley Construction completed a project for me in January 2014. Soon after, one of the walls cracked and he came back to repair it and said he would be back to paint it. Not only did he never return, cove base started coming off the walls and even more importantly, our sanitizing sink is leaking from the pipe. I have contacted him repeatedly through text and email and I've been completely ignored.Desired Settlement: He needs to fix the issues or send someone to fix them immediately.
