Revdex.com: Response sent online 4:24PM [redacted]. Valley Hi Toyota received from: Mr. [redacted] complaint via email on Saturday April 15th. Dealer personnel who handles Revdex.com complaints is not working weekends and respond** back to customer via email on Monday April 17th. With the following: Good...

Afternoon Mr. [redacted], Thank you for your follow-up feedback on your multiple visits to the dealerships service department. We have reviewed all of your input in detail, along side of the actual repair orders. We intend to use it to help shape our future direction within our service department and with the employees. This way we can mirror the mission statement you referred to as being a Toyota Dealership from our manufacturer. We empathize with your concerns. We understand that this emailed required an investment of your time, we at Valley Hi Toyota believe that this is the best way to capture your issues and concerns; by addressing them within the dealership. I have spoken with my supervisor regarding these concerns. I have been instructed to refund you the $315.70 for the repairs to your vehicle that did not solve your stated concerns with your vehicles engine. As far as refunding the items within your vehicle;please understand that all consumers when work is authorized you sign a repair order stating that the dealership is not responsible for personal items left within any vehicle. (Please see lower left hand corner of your invoices) for details. However, we understand that vandalism can occur at any place of business; we are sadden** that it happen** here. So with that in mind; I have a few questions for you? Have you filed this theft with your insurance carrier since filing your Sheriff report? If so do you have an estimate from your insurance company underwriter’s as to the deductible for the following items that were taken from your vehicle: (1) Garmin NUVI GPS unit, (1) LG cell phone, (1) Star Wars BB-8 Phone Charger (1) Black Leather Wallet, (1) Leatherman Multi-Tool, (1) Nano I-Pod, and (1) Miniature Screwdriver Set. Can you provide receipts for the actual cost of the items? Can you email those receipts to the following email address: [redacted]? Knowing full well that the dealership is not responsible for personal items left in any vehicle; are you willing to let us split the cost of an insurance deductible with you? I want to thank you for the opportunity to follow up with you regarding your concerns. When it’s convenient for you; I will await your reply? Sincerely Evelyn Brown, Customer Relations Director, Valley Hi Toyota Mr Lopez then responded back with: Hello Evelyn, I received your email and appreciate your prompt response. It will take me some time to gather the information you requested, so please be patient with me. Some of the items stolen from me were items that I had for some time, but I do have information on most everything. Once I complile what I have I will send it to you and communicate with you further on my expectations on us resolving this matter and putting it behind everyone involved. Thank you, [redacted] Dlr Response second time: Good Morning Mr. [redacted], Thank you again for your prompt reply. I will await your additional information. So that you will know; we will cut one check to address this situation. So at this point we will await your further communications with us. Sincerely, [redacted], Customer Relations Director Valley Hi Toyota Conclusion on the matter at hand: At this point we are waiting on Mr. [redacted] to send in his additional information as to the receipts for the items he states were taken out of his personal vehicle while on company property. The dealership is not obligated to refund items of personal nature left in vehicles as when customers sign their vehicle into the service area of any dealership they are in fact stating their signature resolves the business of all responsibility for their personal belongings within their vehicle. However, in the interest of customer service and resolving this with Mr. [redacted] we have an offer of partial assistance to fully refund his invoice charges in the amount of $315.70. and will split the cost of the items missing once consumer provides cost of items in full by showing us the proof of purchased items. He also has the option of presenting a quote of the insurance claim he had filed with his personal insurance carrier when he open up a theft vandalism report with the sheriff department. At this point the dealership is waiting to hear back from Mr. [redacted]. Sincerely, [redacted], Customer Relations Director, Valley Hi Toyota.
